Arcane season 1: A breakdown of its soundtrack

Original music is one of Arcane's signature pieces, and series creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee approached it strategically while making the series. Linke said in a League of Legends interview in 2021:

"Music was a part of Arcane's development from the very beginning, which was definitely a conscious choice."

On choosing music for the first season of Arcane, he further explained:

"At the very beginning of when we started working on the Arcane soundtrack, we looked at all the different episodes and we kind of tried to always find, 'OK what would be a moment that would be an opportunity for a big music moment?' And so we kind of started building those scenes for that purpose."

Plot summary and cast of Arcane season 1

The story of the first season of Arcane tells the origins of the two iconic League Champions, sisters Vi (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (voiced by Ella Purnell), and the war that can tear them apart. The sisters were once inseparable, but as the war between Piltover and Zaun, twin cities that were once united, start brewing, they find themselves fighting for opposite sides.

Besides Steinfeld and Purnell, the series also stars Kevin Alejandro, Victor Lloyd, Jason Spisak, Terri Douglas, and more. Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord directed the series, which has kept an impressive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes since it premiered in 2021.
