Baby Fever season 2 ending explained: What happened to Nana and Mathias?

Baby Fever season 2 is the sequel to the 2022 Danish romantic medical drama series that was released on August 22, 2024. The show stars Josephine Stars as the lead character, alongside Simon Sears, Olivia Joof Lewerissa, and Charlotte Munck in the supporting roles.

In Baby Fever season 2, Nana tries everything to make sure that Mathias does not get to know about the pregnancy of his wife Lucia. Nana and Mathias shared some moments connecting physically and emotionally. However, their time together soon comes to an end as Lucia finds out about Mathias cheating and decides to leave the city.

The season ends with Mathias reconciling with his current wife Lucia as he discovers she is pregnant. Nana ultimately realizes that whatever she did to separate Lucia and Mathias was wrong. This realization makes her step back from their lives. Even after Nana has a brief reunion with Mathias, she understands that he belongs to Lucia.


Did Nana and Mathias end up together?

At the end of Baby Fever season 2, Nana and Mathias go their separate ways. Even though they both get back together for a short while and connect as a couple, Mathias remains uncertain about his decision because of his ongoing relationship with Lucia.

By the end of the season, when Nana tells Mathias about Lucia’s pregnancy, he then figures out that he is in love with Lucia. Nana steps aside, as she understands that Mathias needs to be with Lucia and their unborn child.

Nana’s decision also comes as a turning point in her storyline as for the first time she puts the well-being of others above her own desires. Mathias and Lucia resolve their issues and get back together. Meanwhile, Nana is left alone to move on in her life.


How does Baby Fever season 2 end?

At the end of Baby Fever season 2, Nana and Mathias's relationship hits a crucial stage. Even though they have a complex past and Mathias is currently with Lucia, they keep getting pulled back to each other. This becomes evident when Mathias learns that Nana has been keeping the secret that he is the father of her baby.

Nana and Mathias spend a night together, which brings them closer, but the next morning, Mathias feels guilty about it, especially because he is still in a relationship with Lucia. His complex and confusing feelings make him unsure about what he really wants.

To know the truth about Mathias and Nana’s relationship, Lucia goes to Nana’s apartment, where she finds out that he has cheated on her. The shocking revelation leaves Lucia with a feeling of betrayal and helplessness. Lucia finally makes up her mind to leave her husband.

In a final effort to make things right, Nana decides to tell Lucia the important secret she has been keeping about Lucia’s pregnancy. As Nana tells Mathias the truth, she asks him to help her prevent Lucia from moving out of the country.

Nana and Mathias rush to the airport, where Nana tells Lucia that she is pregnant, following which the couple reconciles, celebrating the joy of being parents.
