Bad Monkey on Apple TV+: Everything you need to know
The global premiere saw the release of two episodes, with the rest of Season 1 set to undergo a weekly release of episodes every Wednesday. The season finale will be released on October 9, 2024. The story revolves most notably around Andrew Yancy, who is coming to terms with his recent demotion.
He ends up discovering a severed arm in one of the restaurants he visits, which leads him to a bizarre investigation in a world brimful with murder, corruption, and eccentric criminals. The series has already seen the introduction of a range of quirky characters, including the monkey Driggs, as Yancy eventually stumbles across a criminal network that spans from the Bahamas to the Florida Keys.
The series has largely opened to positive reviews, with Bill Lawrence having created some stellar hits such as Ted Lasso and Shrinking previously. A Warner Bros. production, the series has the likes of Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Matt Tarses, and Marcos Siega serving as executive producers.
A crime thriller at its heart, Bad Monkey boasts of some quirky humor and delivers a suspense-filled tone which further adds to the experience. It features a beautiful setting, and a range of notable comic actors in its cast, alongside Vaughn.
These include the following:
- Michelle Monaghan as Bonnie Witt
- Jodie Turner-Smith as Dragon Queen

- Rob Delaney as Christopher
- Natalie Martinez as Rosa Campesino
- Ronald Peet as Neville Stafford
- John Ortiz as Rogelio Burton
- Charlotte Lawrence as Caitlin

The first two episodes of the series have thrown in a remarkable story. The severed arm that Yancy discovers belongs to the husband of Meredith Hagner's Eve Stripling. However, due to her nonchalant grief, Yancy and the medical examiner, Rosa Campesino, played by Natalie Martinez, begin to suspect her.
They turn out to be right, as Eve is revealed to be working with Rob Delaney's Christopher, a developer looking to buy property in the Bahamas, which is later revealed to be owned by Eve's husband. The investigation will eventually lead Yancy to discover a cross-continent empire that funds its operations via a variety of illegal means.
Regardless, Bad Monkey is now available to be viewed on Apple TV+ globally, with further episodes set to be released on a weekly basis, at midnight ET.
