Episode five of Bad Monkey, an Apple TV+ original, arrived on the platform on September 4, 2024. Episode four of the show concluded with Nick knocking down Yancy unconscious, dropping him in the ocean, and then sipping on some beer, and episode five started by being the shortest yet the most stressful episode for Nick as he found out about the failed assassination attempt.
The latest episode is a stressful one for Yancy as well. He has to go on a run after the cops think that he killed 'Heather With the Weather,' which might also link him to Izzy's murder, as both the victims were murdered at the same time and in the same locality. After Heather overheard Eve and Nick talking about the murders, Eve shot Heather multiple times. Nick, on the other hand, shot his surgeon friend, Izzy, to conceal the truth.

Is Yancy alive?
Yes, Yancy is alive. Being the heart of the show, the showrunners did not kill him in episode four of Bad Monkey. Even after Nick struck him in the head and dumped him in the ocean unconscious, Yancy managed to save himself. Nick, on the other hand, has doomed his sacrifices as Yancy is now well aware that he is alive after Nick dropped his cell phone, which Yancy recovers and unlocks later.
The evidence (the phone) will eventually lead to further discoveries about Eve and Nick, and the cell will be the catalyst for their demise.
What happened to Neville?
After Neville hurts Egg in the last episode of Bad Monkey, Egg is furious. He goes on a hunt for Neville in episode five of Bad Monkey and even comes across the Dragon Queen. When Egg asks her if she knows where Neville is, she tells him that she works for Neville and not for him, therefore why would she reveal his location?
On the other hand, Neville who has all the evidence he needs to get his island back now goes to Tanny for help, so that she can help him contact the higher authorities to bust the frauds. However, Egg and Tanny are connected. She gives the evidence to Egg and Neville has to make a run for his life once again.
Rogelio calls Yancy
While Yancy is inside the body bag, trying to escape, Rogelio calls him to ask about his whereabouts. On the other hand, Sonny threatens Rogelio and tells him that if he helps Yancy in any way, he will also be fired from his job.
Will Rogelio be loyal to his ex-partner in crime or will he help the others take Yancy down, even though he knows that Yancy is innocent will be an interesting watch and a test for Rogelio and Yancy's friendship in the upcoming episodes.
Rosa finds out about the airport and also about his arrest warrant
After Yancy manages to open Nick’s cell phone with the severed finger from the cemetery, a text pops up on Nick’s phone, which hints that Nick and Eve have a flight to catch. Rosa then takes Nick’s phone and asks the pilot about coffee places nearby, which helps Rosa narrow down the search and find out at which airport Nick and Eve will make their escape.
The pilot Claspers had also ordered a coffee after the text. He was under the impression that Nick texted him. However, it was not Nick but Rosa that was behind the text. Claspers seemed disappointed when he did not get his cup of coffee after Nick and Eve showed up. After the two settle on board and the jet is on the runway, Yancy arrives.
However, it is too late for Yancy, even though he gives Nick a scare after the latter spots him through the window. Nick knows that his flight is going to take off and Yancy will not be able to catch him.
The flight then takes off and Nick opens the champagne to celebrate his new life. Just when things are looking perfect, Eve gets a call from Nick’s phone. It's Yancy on the line. He tells Eve that it is Yancy, well and alive, who will be ready to bust them soon.
As the jet touches the sky, Yancy says:
“Your husband tried to kill me …nah just a little winded …i will see you soon.”
Will Yancy get arrested?
With the case now finally solved as the picture is all clear in Yancy’s head and everything going according to what he had predicted, it will be an interesting watch to see how he will gather all the evidence to clear his slate, and then bust Eve, Nick and everyone involved in the fake death scheme.
Yancy also has to tell the boys about how the severed hand, which is now a closed case, has to be opened again. Further, he has to expose Eve's elaborate billion-dollar life insurance plan and how all the murders were done. With Rosa by his side, we can expect Yancy to come out clean from this mess made by others.
What will Yancy do next?
We already know that with the cops looking for Yancy, he has to make a clean run, to clean his slate. Firstly, Yancy has to prove to everyone that Nick is alive and that the arm is just a distraction, which would be an easy thing to do with an alibi and an eye witness, which is Rosa (hopefully). Secondly, he has to figure out a way to gather all the evidence, so that he can prove that Eve and Nick have faked Nick’s death for the life insurance money and that they killed anyone who knew about their plan.
Viewers can expect Yancy to come out clean in episode six of Bad Monkey.
