Bad Monkey episode five was made accessible on Apple TV+ on August 4, 2024. The episode highlights more drama, leads, and trouble for Andrew Nancy, who loves to play the best cop cum detective in a crowd full of corrupt and casual cops.
This fifth episode, titled That Damn Arm is Back, starts on a happy note for Yancy's fans. With Yancy and Rosa now being partners in solving cases, Rosa is also in the same soup as she hides Yancy from the feds for the time being. The official synopsis of the episode reads as follows:

Bad Monkey episode five: A recap of the chaos
Easter for Yancy and a not-so-good day for Nick
Episode four of Bad Monkey ended on a not-so-good note for Yancy as he was first hit on the head by the one-handed Nick and then dumped in the ocean. We all thought our favorite detective to be dead. Episode five picks up directly from there, and we see Yancy alive. He wakes up at his neighbor's home and informs viewers that he managed to swim to the shore and save his life the previous night.
Nick, on the other hand, has messed up. He dropped his phone at Yancy’s, which Yancy later picks up as the most important piece of evidence. When Nick realizes this, he does not tell Eve about the failed murder attempt.
Yancy and Rosa are on a run
Soon, in this Bad Monkey episode, Yancy goes to Rosa, who tells him that he has a concussion. Later in the episode, Officer Mendez arrives. While Yancy hides in the toilet, the officer tells Rosa how conspiring or working with Yancy will do her no good as an arrest warrant has been issued against him for the murder of the weather reporter and perhaps also for the slaying of the surgeon who severed Nick's hand.
When Mendez leaves the forensic room, Yancy enters a bodybag, and Rosa tries to smuggle him. However, Mendez returns to poke her in the lift as she goes down with the body bag.
After Mendez tries to flirt with Rosa, and it doesn’t go well, he moves to open the body bag, and Yancy, being Yancy, knocks him out with an unexpected and blind blow. Mendez falls unconscious inside the lift, and Yancy and Rosa go on the run.
The cellphone finally is unlocked
Yancy tries to unlock Nick’s phone. Later in the episode when they arrive at Rosa’s home, Rosa’s brother tries to unlock the cell as well but fails. Yancy isn’t welcomed in Rosa’s home; therefore, he leaves after her mother tells Yancy that he isn’t good for her daughter.
The detective next goes to the graveyard, digs up Nick’s severed hand, and unlocks the phone. Later, Rosa arrives and asks Yancy why he left her home, which Yancy says is a conversation for later.
Yancy then breaks off Nick’s finger, and as they are going to leave the scene, the cemetery guard arrives, and so do the police. However, Rosa and Yancy escape.
Neville Vs. Egg
Egg goes around looking for Neville throughout the episode. On the other hand, Neville has a ton of evidence now, which can help him get the island back. However, Tanny, who Neville expected would help him out, snitches on him and gives Egg the flash drive. Neville manages to escape the scene on the scooter.
Later, when Neville and his fling Dawnie crash the scooter. They find Neville’s lost boat on the shore, which will now help them escape.
Bonnie the s*x offender
After Bonnie’s credit card fails and she realizes she has no money, she returns to Yancy’s home to find it locked. Out of frustration, she breaks open a glass entrance with a stone and goes inside. Later, Cody, her ex-student, who she had s*x with when Cody was underage, comes to Yancy’s home to once again sleep with Bonnie.
Eve and Nick escape
Throughout the fifth episode of Bad Monkey, Nick fears that Eve will discover Yancy is alive. In the final moments of the fifth episode, as the couple gets on their private jet and Nick pops open the champagne, he sees Yancy from the airplane window running towards him. However, Yancy loses the chase. When Nick thinks he is the winner, his wife Eve gets a call from Yancy, telling her he is alive and coming after them.
Throughout the episode, we see how Eve manipulates Nick to go against his daughter Caitlin and also kills her. Although Nick doesn’t do anything to Caitlin, it is evident that he is too afraid to take a stand on his own and fight Eve.
With episode five of Bad Monkey ending on a not-so-tension-free note for anyone, it will be interesting to see how Yancy proves to everyone how efficient and innocent he is. What will Eve do to Nick now that she knows Yancy is alive? What will be Eve’s next move? Will Yancy get the support of his partner and Rosa? Watching with the feds now on a chase of Yancy will also be interesting.
