Bad Monkey season 1, episode 8, arrived on Apple TV+ on September 25, 2024. Episode 7 ended with Yancy, Rosa, Cody, and Yancy’s father in danger as a group of armed men were seen outside Yancy’s home. This episode picks up directly from there.
Episode 8 of Bad Monkey is titled The Russian Mob Is Very Active in Key West and the synopsis for the same reads:
"With Caitlin and Rosa's help, Yancy cooks up a new plan to get Nick and Eve back to Miami."

The calm before the storm
Yancy and his guests are seen discussing what they will eat and drink for the night at the beginning of episode 8 of Bad Monkey. However, the family night is soon interrupted by gunshots. The glass doors and windows of Yancy’s home shatter as the armed intruders start firing rounds.

However, Yancy, Rosa, Cody, and Jim take cover behind the furniture, and the detective turns off the lights of the house immediately to hinder the vision of the shooters. Jim and Cody try to make a run outside the house, however, the armed men stop them. The other intruders enter the house, and Yancy gives them a good fight. Rosa too stabs one of them with a fork.
However, Yancy is shocked when he sees Pestov in his house, who is leading a team of intruders. Pestov, who is also shocked, immediately tells his men to stop and apologizes to Yancy, revealing to him that he was paid to do this by Yancy’s neighbor. However, Pestov was not aware that it was Yancy’s house that had to be attacked. If he had known that from the beginning, he would not have accepted this job.
After Yancy learns that his neighbor is behind the attack, he takes a rifle, goes out, and fires several rounds pointed at his neighbor's window. Later that night, after no one gets injured severely, Yancy calls those armed men home, and everyone dines together.
In the morning, after all the mess is cleared up, Yancy has a quick chat about Rosa with his dad, after which he goes to work and his dad leaves for his cabin.
Bonnie gets arrested
The focus of this episode then shifts to Bonnie. She gets uncuffed in this episode as she learns that Codie’s parents and the DA are not pressing charges against her anymore. Bonnie also learns from Johnna (the agent) that she wanted to get Bonnie arrested solely, therefore she came this far. However, Joanna and Bonnie again have to take a return trip back home now that all charges against her are dropped.
On Bonnie’s return to Florida, she gets in her G Wagon and goes to a shop to buy tons of gasoline. At the shop, she also flirts with the young guy at the counter. Soon after, she goes to Yancy’s neighbor's home and blows the whole place off with gasoline. While Yancy and Rosa are chilling and decide to go out and dine late, they are in shock when they see the explosion.
Yancy and Rosa then go out of the house to figure out what’s happening and meet Bonnie. Bonnie meets Rosa for the first time and tells Yancy how she is happy for him. Later, when the cops come and take Bonnie with them, Bonnie seems happy as she can finally go to jail for her crimes and not have to run anymore.
Later in the episode, the homeowner goes to Sonny and tries to bribe him, revealing that he does not want to press any charges against Bonnie. However, Sonny understands the arson scheme and doesn’t partake in it as of now.
The Dragon Queen leaves the island
The Dragon Queen, aka Gracie, who is now living with Egg, does not seem happy when the episode starts. She asks Egg to stay with her for a little while. Later in the episode, she and Egg go to hang out with Eve and Nick on their new boat. As Nick goes swimming, Gracie steals his watch.
Neville watches all of them from a distance and informs Yancy of the same so that he can do something and get Eve and Nick arrested soon. However, Yancy’s hands are tied, which makes Neville upset.
After drinking some champagne, Gracie and Egg leave the boat, and on their way back, Egg warns his new lover about Eve and Nick. However, Gracie doesn’t react to it and replies normally, as she is already aware of their true nature. The romance between Gracie and Egg is soon interrupted when she finds out that Egg has broken down Asia’s shop on Eve’s orders. She tells Egg to not come back to her for the night.
Gracie calls her Yaya next, who is now disappointed with her. The call turns out to be even more disappointing, and Yaya’s words are not liked by Gracie. Later in the episode, Gracie goes away from Egg and the island to start fresh and live the life of her dreams.
The master plan in Bad Monkey Episode 8
Yancy doesn’t want a delay when it comes to busting Nick and Eve. He goes to meet Rhodes outside her office to find out ways to lure the corrupt couple back to Miami.
Later in the episode, Yancy teams up with Caitlin and Rosa. The three make a plan in which Rosa, with an alias, will travel to Andros to meet Eve and Nick. She will pretend to be Caitlin’s friend and go there to see a property that she wants to buy from Nick and Eve.
To make this plan work, Caitlin calls Nick and tells him that her friend will be coming to Andros to buy a property, and Nick happily says yes to it. Nick also seems happy as his daughter has finally called him.
Later in the Bad Monkey episode, Rosa and Yancy travel to Andros to execute their plan. Here, they visit a local bar and come across Claspers (who flies the jet for Nick and Eve). After the three have a couple of drinks together and some good conversations, the bar owner takes a picture of the three, which is a ritual of the bar, and sticks it on the walls of the restaurant.
The plan is well executed, but there is a loophole
Later in episode 8 of Bad Monkey, Rosa goes to meet Nick and Eve, in disguise and with an alias. After showing interest in their property, Rosa tells them that she can pay them the entire amount in cash, however, they have to fly back to Miami to collect the money from her. Nick and Eve agree to do the same.
After this, Rosa goes to meet Neville along with Yancy, where she breaks the good news that Eve and Nick will be arrested soon and therefore Neville will get his home back.
Previously, when Rosa went to meet Nick and Eve, Yancy met the dragon queen at the coffee place, where he found her sitting with Nick’s watch. Yancy told her that the watch was pricy, after which he went to grab some more coffee. Meanwhile, Gracie escaped, as she did not want to talk to Yancy.
As the episode comes to an end, Nick and Eve, who never go out to eat on the island, visit the same bar that Yancy and Rosa visited earlier in the episode. Nick goes to order inside, and while Eve is waiting for a table, viewers skip a heartbeat with the realization that Eve is standing next to the same wall, where Yancy, Rosa, and Claspers' Polaroid from the previous night is seen hanging.
What to expect from episode 9 of Bad Monkey?
Episode 9 of Bad Monkey, which will air on October 2, 2024, should reveal to viewers if Eve will look at the portrait and learn about Rosa, Yancy, and Caitlin's plan. On the other hand, Claspers might get fired for no fault of his and because of pure bad luck.
However, if Eve does not look at the Polaroid, then things will go as Yancy planned, and the couple will get arrested soon, on their return to Miami.
