Bad Monkey episode 9 arrived on Apple TV+ on October 2, 2022. The showrunners delivered a masterpiece for this, being the 2nd last episode of the first season. In terms of action and satisfaction, episode 9 could be considered the best one thus far.
With the return of the Dragon Queen, the likely split of Yancy and Rosa, and other developments, Bad Monkey's episode 9 resolves all outstanding questions and takes the program on a whole new path.
Episode 9 is titled 'You Really Don’t Want to Kill This Scrumptious Little Puppy.' The synopsis for the same reads as,
"Yancy discovers that his plan has gone awry, which puts Rosa in danger; Eve and the Dragon Queen have a reckoning."

Eve texts Rosa to fly to Miami in Bad Monkey episode 9
The episode starts with a glimpse of Yancy and friends who, after a long party night, are on their way back to their hotel. The scene then shifts to Ya-Ya and Gracie. Gracie comes back and tells her that Ya-Ya needs to go away from this island with her, and this is their chance of a new life.
However, Yaya disagrees with Gracie, after which Gracie leaves the island, promising Ya-Ya that she will send her postcards as a means of contact.
Next up in Bad Monkey episode 9, Yancy and Rosa are seen chilling on the beach. Rosa receives a text from Eve saying she wants to go to Miami today to collect the money for the property, and Eve wants Rosa to fly with her and Nick. Rosa freaks out for some time after getting the text; however, Yancy calms her down and tells her that everything will go as per the plan. Before the scene cuts, Rosa and Yancy kiss at the beach.
Bonnie is back in episode 9
Next up, viewers get a glimpse of Bonnie, who is seen flirting with a prison guard. Bonnie wants a reduced sentence for her crimes and a shorter prison term, which is declined. However, Bonnie escapes prison soon after this scene, and viewers are not shown how she manages to do the same. She is back, enjoying her life with a new man and a flashy car.
Yancy teaches Rosa how to shoot
Before Rosa can get on the jet with Nick and Eve, Yancy teaches her how to hold a gun and shoot. However, Rosa does not think that she will need the gun, after which she leaves for Nick and Rosa's residence.
Rosa is in danger.
Rosa goes to Eve’s house, where she shares a martini with Eve. Rosa wants to get on the jet asap; however, Eve takes her own sweet time and asks Rosa about herself. A few seconds into the conversation, Eve shows her the Polaroid, making Rosa aware of the failed plan. Rosa gets up to leave, but Egg comes and stops her from leaving by pointing a gun at her.
The storm is coming.
Gracie, who was ready to leave the island in Bad Monkey episode 9, has to wait longer, as all the flights get canceled. The storm is coming just like her Ya-Ya had predicted earlier. Later in the episode, Gracie meets Yancy and Neville at the bar. Yancy asks Gracie to use her powers and tell if Rosa is in danger, to which Gracie replies and says that she has news from her sources that Eve and Nick know everything about Rosa.
Panicked, Yancy leaves to save Rosa and tells Neville that if he doesn’t return in an hour, Neville must call Rogelio.
Yancy is ready to play the hero.
Next up in Bad Monkey episode 9, Yancy enters Nick and Eve’s home and runs into Nick, who is pointing a gun at him. Yancy thinks of a quick plan and grabs Eve’s dog to save himself from Nick. Yancy holds the dog and tells Nick how shooting Yancy might kill Eve’s pup.
Nick is ready to shoot, but Eve stops him. Meanwhile, Yancy, who is good with his words, talks to Nick about how Caitlin (Nick’s daughter) still wants Nick back in her life and has also told Yancy not to hurt Nick selectively. He tells Nick that he should not waste his life with Eve, she is a manipulative lady who has only used him so far.
Meanwhile, Neville sneaks from the back, breaks a fishing rod, and attacks Nick. After Nick falls, Yancy and Neville make a run for their lives.
Rosa goes back to Yancy.
Rosa comes back to Yancy as a surprise in Bad Monkey episode 9 and tells him how she escaped from Egg. Yancy had put the gun in her bag earlier, which helped Rosa in her escape. She shot Egg in the leg and then ran home. Rosa disposed of the gun in the creek. Soon after this, Rosa and Yancy leave for Miami.
Gracie meets her mother in Bad Monkey episode 9
Gracie meets a mysterious woman in the bar. She follows her to the graveyard soon, after which they both talk about Gracie’s magic. When they go to Gracie’s mom's grave, the mystery lady tells her that she is very proud of Gracie, after which she vanishes into thin air, hinting how Gracie’s mom's spirit paid her a short visit. Later in the episode, Gracie returns home and prepares her altar once more, which makes her Ya-Ya happy.
Nick is in pain.
Nick tells Eve to take out the fishing rod from his back, and as Eve finally takes it out, blood gushes out. Eve rushes down to bring more painkillers, and Nick meanwhile curses the dog in pain. Later in the episode, Yancy and Rosa go to Claspers and tell him to fly them out of this island. They also reveal to Claspers that their bosses are murderers. After a short photo session, Claspers decides to fly them out of the island.
Yancy, however, does not get on the plane and tells Rosa that he needs to take care of the situation as he can’t let Nick and Eve get away. Rosa insists Yancy go with him and tells him that if he does not come along, she will be done with him. However, Yancy stays back on the island, leaving Rosa heartbroken.
The Dragon Queen is back.
The Dragon Queen, in her old avatar, confronts Eve, nicks her with a knife, and tells her that the storm has come and everyone must accept their fate. She tells Eve that she will not help her anymore and the resort building should stop immediately. The episode ends with The Dragon Queen screaming to Eve,
'It's time to end this.'
