Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 ending explained: Did Ian help the Garveys cover Angelica's death?

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 dropped on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, bringing more nerve-racking twists and turns as the Garveys frantically try to hide their misdeeds. This time, someone new helped them with their antics—their late sister Grace's husband, Ian Reilly.

Back in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 5, Angelica Collins joined Ursula, Bibi, and Becka on a sailboat ride to throw Grace's ashes in the sea. However, the day ended horribly when the boom of the boat fatally swung right into Angelica's face. In the latest episode, Angelica's death became another death that the Garvey sisters were trying to hide, and Ian, who was getting closer to Eva, helped them cover their tracks.

As a new death fell on the sisters' conscience and with the police still after them about JP's death and Grace's fatal crash, the Garveys had a lot to deal with in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 sees Ian help the Garvey sisters cover their tracks after Angelica's death

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 saw Ian Reilly help the Garvey sisters cover their tracks after Ursula, Bibi, and Becka went home and said that Angelica died while they were in the sailboat. The three sisters were visibly shaken and didn't know what to do.

Eva, who wasn't at the boat that day because Angelica forbade her to come early in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 5, didn't have any better plan for their next course either.

Eva wanted to call the Coast Guard and help find Angelica's body, but Ian, who wasn't at her home when the other sisters arrived, said that it wasn't a good idea. He told her that the cops would be involved. When the other sisters said that they were not worried about getting the cops involved because it was an accident and that they didn't want to kill Angelica, Eva came to a realization.

She remembered telling Loftus about Angelica blackmailing Grace, which put them in a difficult place because that meant they had a motive for harming Angelica. With that, Ian said that they shouldn't call for help and that he would go to the marina to find out if there was anything that could implicate the sisters.

When he went to inspect the sailboat, Ian saw blood on the boom that hit Angelica's head, as well as splatters of blood on the floor. He called the sisters about it so they could clean it up. He also surveyed the streets in the marina, looking for CCTVs. He saw one on the street, but it was already destroyed, so that wouldn't be a problem for them.

However, there was another security camera from a home just across the sailboat. With its vantage point, the camera would have seen Angelica go into the boat with the three Garvey sisters, but Ian took care of it for the Garveys. He asked the elderly homeowner to see the cameras, but he wasn't allowed to enter the home until the older woman asked him to help her with the radiator.

When Ian got his hands on the footage, he made a copy of it on a thumb drive before deleting the clips from the previous day and disabling the camera. Now, no one knows that Angelica went to the boat with Ursula, Bibi, and Becka and that she died except for the four Garvey sisters and Ian. That said, Ian made a copy of the security footage on the USB as a piece of evidence for everything.

Bibi Garvey gets suspicious of Ian in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6

Bibi started becoming suspicious of Ian in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, first about his relationship with their eldest sister, Eva, and then his real identity. Back in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 5, Angelica accused Eva of having an affair with Ian shortly after Grace's death, and while the sisters defended her, Bibi later saw that what Angelica said could be true.

She pointed it out during a conversation with the other three sisters, goading Eva about some news that she should tell everyone. Eva then admitted that she had feelings for Ian and that Ian also felt the same, however, Bibi wanted her to end it. The conversation turned accusatory, ending with Bibi saying hurtful things about Eva burying her feelings as she did with Grace. Eva eventually walked out in tears.

Later in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, Bibi was seen researching everything she could about Ian, which was how she found out that he wasn't on LinkedIn. She told her wife that it was suspicious. Much later, she confronted Ian at his house, asking him who he really was, and pointed out that Angelica said that he couldn't be trusted.

Eva and Ian's budding relationship took a turn in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6. They'd already shared a short kiss in the previous episode, but Ian saw Eva upset in her house in episode 6, and her confession ignited the two to follow their feelings.

Eva opened up about Bibi accusing her of having an affair with Ian, to which Ian asked her what she told her sisters. Eva confessed that she told them that she had feelings for him, which made Ian ecstatic. The confession ended with the two sharing passionate kisses, with the next scene implying that they slept together, with Ian naked in Eva's bed.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 sees Loftus and Houlihan at odds

The Garvey sisters were not the only ones at odds in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6. The two detectives following the Garveys also had misunderstandings, ending with Houlihan saying that he would report Loftus for tampering with the evidence and the latter threatening to ruin her career if she reported.

Early in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, Houlihan was following leads on Grace's accident. She found out that Grace was leaving Angelica before the crash, theorizing that the money, Grace's death, and Angelica knowing that Grace killed JP were all connected.

Meanwhile, Loftus was ready to wash his hands of the case, telling her that Grace died while trying to make a run of it and that the money was found in her care. He accused Houlihan of not doing her police job well about Angelica being missing because she was trying to follow a false lead.

Houlihan was visibly taken aback about the said money being found in the car, which she later confronted Loftus about. It was then that she realized Loftus had tampered with the evidence and that there was no money found at the crime scene, and if there was, it wasn't found in Grace's car, and Loftus somehow planted it.

Angelica's fate is still uncertain in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6

While the rest of the Garveys believe that Angelica is dead in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, her body is still yet to be found. Hence, there's no hard evidence that could confirm that she died.

Early in the episode, a scene showed Angelica's body floating somewhere at sea. She was wearing a life vest, so unless the hit in her head was fatal, she could just be floating in the ocean, still alive.
