Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 dropped on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, December 18, bringing a new set of twists and turns that change the course of the four remaining Garvey sisters' lives. Drama and betrayal continue in the dark comedy's penultimate episode, especially after the Garveys find the truth about Ian Reilly.
Back in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, Ian and the oldest Garvey sister, Eva, decided to follow their feelings for each other. He also helped her set up a better future for Blanaid, in case anything goes wrong, by going with her to the bank to open a savings account for Bla.
However, Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 kicked off with Ian's betrayal. He emptied Bla's account and was nowhere to be found. The Garveys were looking for him, and they found that he was a gambler and that Ian Reilly wasn't his real name. The police were unto him as well, or at least Detective Houlihan was, and she discovered evidence indicating that Ian wasn't just a con man but also dangerous.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 sees the Garveys discover the truth about Ian Reilly
Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 saw the Garvey sisters discover enough evidence that proved Ian Reilly wasn't the man he claimed he was. Their quest for the truth about Ian started early in the series when Eva received a notification on her phone that a withdrawal from Blanaid's account was approved.
Adding insult to injury, Ursula, Eva, and Bibi were being held at the police station because Ian sent his copy of the CCTV footage from Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 to Detective Houlihan. The security footage linked the three sisters to Angelica Collins being missing and presumed dead.
From there, everything went downhill for Eva. She told her sisters about the money, and they realized that Ian had played them all. They also theorized that he could be the reason for Grace's accident and that the money Grace withdrew just before her fatal crash was for him.
The Garveys looked for outside help to find the truth about Ian. Becka went to Joe to ask if he knew anything about Ian, but their first meeting ended up heated, and Becka still didn't have any leads. Meanwhile, Angelica refused to talk to Ursula about anything, and Roger was angry with the sisters.
However, Joe had a change of heart and then told the sisters about Ian being a gambler because he saw a chip that he always carried.
Roger also helped the sisters at the end of Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7, saying that he remembered Ian from the races. They went to a horse race trying to find a lead about Ian, and they found someone who knew him—not as Ian Reilly, but his real name, which was Cormac, and that he's from Tyrone.

Detective Houlihan discovers Ian Reilly's true identity in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7
However, the Garveys weren't the only ones who discovered Ian Reilly's fake identity. Back in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 5, Detective Houlihan had been wary about him, and in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7, she continued searching for leads about him. She asked Reginald "Reggie" Jackson to do some digging on any info about Ian, and Reggie sent her a coroner's report about a homeless man.
It turned out that a homeless man named Ian Reilly had died, and the investigating officer for his case was someone named Cormac Sweeney. When Detective Houlihan searched for Cormac Sweeney in the database, she found Ian Reilly's picture.
The present Ian Reilly was actually Cormac Sweeney who left the force in 2019 and had several complaints on his, including fraud, domestic abuse, and embezzlement.

Angelica Collins turns up alive in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7
On the other hand, Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7, also brought some good news—Angelica Collins was alive. She was a little banged up after the accident at the boat in Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6, and a bit scared of the Garveys, but she was alive and well, all things considered.
The Garveys also found out in the latest episode that what Angelica said about Ian Reilly, that he was a player and dangerous, was all true. Angelica might still be a bit eccentric of a person for the Garvey sisters, but they now knew that she was innocent in Grace's death.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 teases Ian Reilly coming back to the Garvey sisters' lives
Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7 also saw Eva Garvey going to what she thought was Ian Reilly, aka Cormac Sweeney's address. However, her search wasn't fruitful after the homeowner said that she didn't know him.
What Eva didn't know was Ian was inside the house. While the identity of the woman is still a mystery, she told Ian, once Eva left, about his promise that the Garveys wouldn't be disturbing them and the kids in the house. She told Ian to sort it out.
In the final scenes of Bad Sisters season 2 episode 7, Eva was waiting for Blanaid at her school, but she couldn't find her. Someone who knew Blanaid informed Eva that the former went with her stepfather, which had Eva in a panic. But when she went home, most likely to find out if Blanaid was already there, she found Ian Reilly at the house instead.
He told the shocked Eva Garvey, "Hello, Eva," before the episode faded to black, teasing that there's more for fans to see between Ian and the Garvey's in the eighth and final episode of Bad Sisters season 2.
