In Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 5, their marital problems spill into the entire family.
Carlton, who had heard them arguing in their bedroom in the previous episode, works with Ashley to surprise their parents for their anniversary. But as they bring Viv her breakfast in bed, they discover that their dad Phil's side of the bed is empty and made, making it seem like he didn't sleep there.
Phil, in his robe and carrying a pillow, entered the room, telling the kids that he had fallen asleep in the office after working late. He adds that he didn't sleep in the room because he didn't want to disturb Viv. Phil and Viv kept a happy front as their kids wished them a happy anniversary. While the day of their anniversary didn't start off great, Viv and Phil get their do-over at the end of Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 5. It seems Phil has some aces up his sleeve and wasn't disheartened too much after his derailed lunch plans because of another guy.
When Viv went home late in the day, she saw some surprises laid out on their bed. There's a flaming red dress, a pair of silver heels, and a matching silver purse. Phil appeared out of nowhere and said, "Happy anniversary." The dumbfounded Viv couldn't believe what she was seeing and smiled when Phil also brought her a glass of champagne for "pre-game" while she dressed up.
That said, the beautiful dress, shoes, and purse weren't the reason Viv and Phil finally made up—it was their long overdue conversation and finally opening up to each other. Their anniversary dinner started heated, with Viv admitting that she finds Shareef attractive and that she liked receiving his attention and Phil admitting the same about Erika.
Being radically honest with each other opened up the fact that they've put their marriage in the back seat as they dealt with family matters and their kids' problems over the years. As they realize that their relationship is always the first thing to suffer whenever they have some family matters to prioritize, they also concluded that they want to fight for each other and put their marriage first.
They ended their anniversary dinner with a kiss, and when they went home, they found another surprise from the kids—a video showing pictures of the two of them over the years, including their wedding.

In Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 5, Will and Carlton are desperate for a solution to their Blackccess problems, as they have 999 pieces of merch to sell for the next seven days, as seen in the previous episode. They need someone who can promote their lifestyle brand and buy the merch, and they think the celebrity musician Pony Rich can be their influencer.
To get close to Pony Rich and "shoot their shot," they applied to become ball boys at a pickleball tournament when he was invited. While it proved to be a challenge for Carlton to be so close with alcohol as he continued with his sobriety journey, Jackie gave Will a chance to talk to Pony Rich to pitch their business.
In the end, Pony Rich did a video promoting Blackccess, and by the end of Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 5, Will and Carlton's lifestyle brand now had 6.1 million likes.
