Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7, titled Black Lotus, puts Jabari Banks's Will Smith in a tight spot between his family and his chosen family. His priorities will be tested as he figures out where his loyalties lie.

The previous episode, titled Baggage, started tense for Will as he took his mom, Vy, and dad, Lou, on an impromptu reunion. But as they air out each of their traumas, truth unfolds, including the fact that Lou didn't leave Will for nothing. He was in jail for robbery because he tried to take the money he was owed from an employer, the money to provide for his family.

But while reconciliation was at the forefront of the previous episode, Episode 7 will take Will and his family for a spin. He has to choose who to support this time—his Uncle Phil, the lawyer to the wealthy developer Omar, who wants to tear down the neighborhood, or his chosen family in Jazz, who is trying to save his vinyl shop from ruin. While conflicted, Will decided to stand beside Jazz and join him and the others in the vandalism, hence the balaclava.

Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7 also takes the rest of the Bankses for a spin, including Viv and Phil, who are taking some much-needed alone time in Mexico only to find that things could easily get spicy for them.

Will joining Jazz during the vandalism explains the balaclava at the end of Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7

In the closing scene of Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7, Will Smith can be seen putting things inside a box, the same box that holds some of his precious items and memories. This time, he's putting a picture of Martin Luther King inside the box as somber music about faith and a long path plays. But he also takes a balaclava from his pocket and hides it inside the box.

Before that scene, chaos was happening in what appears to be a construction site. People in black hoodies with their faces hidden by balaclavas are vandalizing the compound. They did everything to cause damage, from smashing equipment and taking out the wiring of machinery to spray painting over signs and breaking glass windows.

At one point, someone starts to set fire to a mobile building/office inside the gated compound. And based on the interaction and dialogue, the man committing the arson is Terrell. While Jazz, who didn't have his face covered during the vandalism, tells Terrell that setting the building on fire wasn't part of the plan, the other guy continued with the arson, saying that "the plan's changed."

While Will wasn't seen during the vandalism, it's implied that he took part in it despite Jazz telling him earlier in Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7 not to get involved with what they were about to do. The balaclava he was trying to hide in the final scenes of the episode is also a dead giveaway of his participation in the vandalism.

Moreover, Will showed plenty of signs earlier in the episode about what his choice was going to be. Will previously quarreled with Carlton because the latter was fully behind Phil's choice, who is the developer Omar's legal counsel. Will also went to Omar himself to try to convince him to help Jazz's vinyl shop, which the latter quickly declined.

Will had been keen on helping Jazz save the vinyl shop since the early episodes of Bel-Air Season 3, so it's also not surprising that he's taking a stand for what he believes in during the show's latest episode.

Amira stirs things for Will, Lisa, and Carlton in Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7

Family drama isn't the only chaotic part for Will Smith in Bel-Air Season 3 Episode 7 because there's romantic drama as well. Carlton is planning a party at the Banks mansion with Viv and Phil out for the weekend. Carlton and Will's girlfriends, Amira and Lisa, who have gotten close since the previous episodes, came, but so did the two people with whom the two girls are at odds.

There's Zaire, the sponsor from Carlton's AA meetings, with whom Amira doesn't get along well. Zaire also invited Jackie, who had a previous relationship with Will. While the six of them try to make peace with each other, especially Lisa and Jackie, Amira is still bothered by Zaire and Jackie being at the house.

As they play a game that involves sharing things about themselves, which Amira instigated, secrets start coming out. Amira finds out that his boyfriend lost his v**ginity to Lisa, and Lisa finds out that something sexual had happened to Will and Jackie before. These facts stir up their dynamic to the point that Will and Amira start arguing.

Will accuses Amira of stirring things up and living off of the drama she creates, while Amira accuses him of not facing his problems head-on and being scared of choosing sides. Carlton, who is taking Amira's side during the argument, annoys Will, causing him to walk out.

But behind all of that, Amira has something that she hasn't revealed to the group. Lisa found what appeared to be drugs in her bag, but Amira pleaded with her not to tell Carlton. Her excuse was that she was stressed because the day was the anniversary of her sister's death. Eagle-eyed viewers will know that she used the same excuse when she stood Carlton and his parents up during their dinner in Episode 6.

But after their reconciliation in Episode 5 of the TV show, they decided that they would do something to put their marriage first. And in the latest episode, it appears that a vacation in Punta Mita in Mexico is their way of spending some quality time with each other. But when they got there, they met some friends—two pairs of couples who would get their vacation a little spicy.

One of the couples, in particular, Caleb and Tiana, opens Viv and Phil's eyes to an open marriage. At one point during the vacation, Viv and Phil are with Tiana and Caleb in the pool. Tiana tells Viv that Caleb finds her attractive, and with Phil's encouragement, she starts flirting with Caleb. Meanwhile, Tiana joins Phil on the other side of the pool.

As they ended the night, the other couple invited Viv and Phil to their room for a "nightcap," but in the end, the Bankses pumped the breaks on it and decided to return to their room.
