Netflix released its latest spy thriller series, Black Doves, on December 5, 2024, bringing forth an intriguing tale that is accentuated by some big names from the industry. What is Black Doves all about?

A British spy-thriller series from Joe Barton, Black Doves follows professional spy Helen Webb, who finds herself at the center of a conspiracy after a passionate love affair takes her far away from her world.

The series stars Sarah Lancashire, Andrew Buchan, Andrew Koji, Omari Douglas, Kathryn Hunter, and Sam Troughton, besides Knightley, and has already received critical acclaim upon its premiere.

The synopsis for the series reads:

"Helen embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is; caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to the dangerous London underworld, Helen's employer's call in Sam to protect her."

All six episodes premiered simultaneously on Netflix.
