Bookie season 2 episode 2 drops next Thursday, December 19, 2024, only on Max. The upcoming episode will continue Danny's story as a veteran Los Angeles bookie whose business is threatened by the impending legalization of sports gambling.
So far in Bookie season 2, Danny made do with his confession during Grandma and Frank's backyard wedding that he would do what it would take to win Sandra back. The first episode of the dark comedy series' sophomore season saw Danny beg Sandra to leave Modesto and come home with him, which she did. However, Sandra's eccentric mom also tagged along.
In the next episode, Danny, his best friend and partner Ray, and the rest of the Bookie season 2 cast will bring even more dark humor on television as it will not business as usual for the notorious LA bookie.

A brief recap of Bookie season 2 episode 1
After his realization that he couldn't live without Sandra in the Bookie season 1 finale, Danny spent the first episode of season 2 trying to urge her to come back home. He traveled to Modesto to beg Sandra to come home, with several mishaps on the way. Danny was pulled over for speeding, and it cost him a speeding ticket and a wad of cash.
He also had a physical altercation with someone he called Captain Hook, who wanted to tow his car. But Sandra intervened and paid the man $1200. While Sandra and Anthony did come home with him in the end, Sandra's eccentric mother, Wendy, also went with him, and now, Danny has his mother-in-law making him lunch.
Bookie season 2 episode 1 also saw Frank finally waking up after he suffered a heart attack during the wedding. But while he was alive, not everything was well because since waking up he didn't utter anything except "Mahnanga," which no one understood, not even Grandma Mary.
What to expect in Bookie season 2 episode 2
Bookie season 2 episode 2 is titled Go to the Labia, which is expected to see Danny and the gang get back to business. With Sandra and Anthony coming back home, nothing's derailing Danny from going back to what he does best, and he's even got another job waiting for him in episode 2.
Hector, who's been spending his time beside Lorraine throughout episode 1, recruits Danny and Ray to collect on a soccer bet. However, it won't be as easy as their other rounds because they will be collecting from a dangerous drug lord.
Meanwhile, Lorraine will be taking Walt on a spiritual business trip. What adventures or mishaps await them during the trip will play out in the next episode.
