Following the events of episode five, fans of The Penguin are looking forward to episode 6. Episode 5 of the series, titled Homecoming, saw Oswald go after the Maronis after Sofia took out most of the Falcone family. It also saw Oswald finally make a move on his drug business and Sofia take over the Falcone family and seek out an alliance with Sal Maroni after his family was killed by Oswald.
In The Penguin episode 6, Oswald might try and take the top spot in Gotham's criminal underworld. Following the release of episode 5 of the show, Max unveiled the preview for episode 6 of the Colin Farrell-starrer, titled Gold Summit, and it gives viewers an idea of what they can expect to see next week.

In the preview, fans get to see Oswald Cobb finally start running his base of operations beneath Gotham, where the abandoned underground railroads are. Viewers can also get to see his business with distributing Bliss is booming as he and Victor are finally trying to make a name for themselves.
At the end of the preview, it is shown that Oswald has gathered all the major crime families in the city, not including Sofia and Sal, and is making a toast with them for "taking back Gotham." So, it certainly looks like Oswald is going to be making a play for being the biggest criminal in the city.
The Penguin episode 6 premieres on October 27, 2024, at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time on HBO and Max.
Recap of The Penguin episode 5
In episode five of The Penguin, viewers get to see Sofia finally taking over the Falcone family after killing them in the previous episode. On Oswald's side of things, viewers see him assemble those who are loyal to him and go after the Maronis by kidnapping their son, whom he would only release in exchange for him getting back his mushrooms so he can produce more Bliss.
In doing so, Oswald is able to cut a deal with the Maronis, but once he receives his mushrooms, he kills Nadia and her son and also bribes a prison guard to stab Sal, but he survives the attack and gets out from there. After killing Johnny Vitti, Sofia seeks out Sal and proposes an alliance with him while swearing revenge on Oswald as well.
At the end of the episode, Oswald and Victor decide to go beneath Gotham and explore the underground railroads, which are heavily abandoned and can give them access to the entire city. With them learning that it is a suitable environment to make Bliss there, they make that the base of their operations.
What can fans expect from The Penguin episode 6?
Going by the preview for The Penguin episode 6, fans can expect to see Oswald restart the Bliss operation after betraying Sofia. With him having some major crime families working with him, he will be trying to earn the top spot within the Gotham criminal underworld while also trying to be someone who can give back to the neighborhood—something that he has always wanted to do.
However, with him having betrayed Sofia and Sal Maroni, they certainly won't be happy with what he is doing and will want to clip his wings. With Sofia and Sal now working together, they also have the plan of ruling the city, and with Oswald coming between their plans, they will definitely want to put an end to him.
