Chicago Fire Season 13 continues where it left off, with even more dramatic tension, adrenaline-pumping rescues, and emotional character development. The popular show, created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, aired more than ten years ago and continues to entertain viewers.
New faces and old tensions will collide at Chicago Fire Season 13, as the stakes have never been higher at Firehouse 51. Gone are the days of the premiere being solely used to wrap up some cliffhangers from last season; instead, it marks a chance to start anew, establishing storylines that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats once more.
Dermot Mulroney stars as Dom Pascal, the new chief for Firehouse 51. Replacing Chief Boden, Pascal brings a new style and way of things, showing the change that must happen to Firehouse 51. The question on the viewers' minds is whether this leadership will bring harmony or tension.
What happens between Severide and Kidd in Chicago Fire Season 13?
After last season's cliffhanger regarding Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide discussing whether they were ready to have a baby, this episode picks up with the two finally addressing the issue.
Kidd expresses her fear and anxiety over the prospect of becoming a parent, revealing that she’s not ready for motherhood just yet. However, Severide shows incredible support, assuring her she doesn’t need to apologize and that he will wait until she feels comfortable with the decision.
Though their baby conversation appears to be put on pause for now, the episode hints that this storyline will continue throughout the season. Kidd's fears of parenthood are further amplified by a rescue involving children, making her question how parents handle the constant fear of losing their kids.

How does Dom Pascal shake things up at Firehouse 51 on Chicago Fire Season 13?
At Firehouse 51, Dom Pascal's arrival was not a cause for much excitement, especially by Kidd, who still harbored deep feelings for Chief Boden. He introduced debriefs on every call and ensured all phones were put away during lunchtime.
These new changes, however, did not go unnoticed and did not please everyone, especially Kidd, who refused the process that would require him to have debriefs. Pascal is not different from Boden as we learn he is somehow entangled in a mysterious past involving something happening in Miami.
The problem with this episode is not that we don't get all the answers about Pascal, but it is obvious that he is more than just a pretty face, and his presence will remain where we focus our attention next.
