The tension in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 3, "All Kinds of Crazy," escalates at Firehouse 51 as Lieutenant Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) has to deal with Jack Damon's (Michael Bradway) reckless behavior and disobedience. Damon's careless actions and lies become hard to overlook, following which Stella is forced to make a tough decision.

Damon's secret that he's actually Kelly Severide's (Taylor Kinney) long-lost brother has already been crucial to the storyline. But his refusal to follow Stella's commands during rescue missions made things even more difficult.

By ignoring her orders and lying about what he did, Damon quickly gets himself into trouble with both Stella and the new Chief, Dom Pascal (played by Dermot Mulroney). By the end of Chicago Fire season 13, episode 3, Chief Pascal decides to move Damon back to the floater pool.

Even though Damon tries to explain himself, Pascal believes that Damon has broken the trust of his lieutenant beyond repair. Damon leaving Firehouse 51 has now left the fate of his relationship with his brother Severide hanging.

Chicago Fire Season 13: Stella reports Damon to Chief Pascal

In Chicago Fire season 13 episode 3, the conflict between Stella and Jack Damon intensifies. Damon's decision to ignore Stella's commands during a critical rescue operation endangers lives and his attempt to hide this only weakens her trust in him.

Throughout the episode, Stella struggles with the question of whether to report Damon's actions. She tries to manage her professional responsibilities while also considering her personal relationship with Severide, who feels a sense of responsibility towards his newly found brother.

After realizing that Damon had intentionally lied about not hearing her command, Stella decides she can't stay quiet any longer.

Even though she knows how much Severide values Damon, Stella talks to Chief Pascal and asks for Damon to be taken off her team. This puts Stella in a tough spot as Pascal questions her leadership skills, mentioning the constant turnover rate of people from her team.

Chicago Fire Season 13: Mouch steps in to defend Stella

As the storyline develops, Mouch (played by Christian Stolte) becomes very important in supporting Stella’s role as leader. When he finds out that Pascal might want to take Stella’s job away due to turnover issues, Mouch decides to intervene in between.

He visits Pascal’s house with the past records of Stella Kidd’s work and urges him to go through them before making any decision. As the Chief looks into the records, he finds out the truth that Stella has been a responsible lieutenant and it is Damon who is at fault.

Damon’s exit and Pascal’s final decision

In the climax of the episode, Chief Pascal calls Jack Damon to his office for a final discussion about his behavior. Damon tries to explain away his disobedience by saying it was due to a misunderstanding. But Pascal isn't buying it and brings up the loss of trust between Damon and Stella.

In the end, Pascal decides that Damon can't stay at Firehouse 51, so he moves him to a floater pool as requested by Stella. She also gets to pick a new team member, with Pascal suggesting she should choose someone who will fit in well with the group.

Meanwhile, Severide deals with the consequences of Damon leaving, as his brother blames him for not being supportive, which makes their already tense relationship even worse.
