Chicago Fire season 13 premiered on NBC on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 9 pm ET. The show has been a paramount element of the One Chicago universe, enthralling and entertaining the viewers since its debut in 2012.

The synopsis of the Chicago Fire season 13 episode 1, titled A Monster in the Field, reads:

“A new chief shakes things up at Firehouse 51. Violet and Novak work to uncover the truth behind a car crash. Cruz keeps a watchful eye on Severide and Damon's growing bond.”

1) Taylor Kinney

Taylor Kinney portrays the character of Lieutenant Kelly Severide. Severide is the company officer for the second shift of Rescue Squad 3. Severide started out as a womanizer but gradually grew out of his tendencies, eventually finding a stable relationship. Kinney is known for his roles in Zero Dark Thirty and Shameless.

2) David Eigenberg

David Eigenberg plays Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann in the show, and the character returns in Chicago Fire season 13 as the commanding officer for the second shift of Engine 51 and a veteran firefighter. A caring and supporting teamman, he co-owns a bar and helps his colleagues in whatever ways he can. Eigenberg previously portrayed the character of Steve Brady in S*x and the City.

3) Christian Stolte

Christian Stolte plays Firefighter Randall "Mouch" McHolland, who is working as a driver of Truck 81 at Firehouse 51 as Chicago Fire season 13 opens. McHolland is not only a veteran firefighter but also an engineer with the Chicago Fire Department. He co-owns a bar with Christopher Herrmann. Stolte was previously seen in the film Public Enemies.

4) Joe Miñoso

Joe Miñoso is seen as Firefighter Joe Cruz in Chicago Fire. Before working as a firefighter on Squad 3, Cruz was the driver of Truck 81. Cruz had a rough childhood, growing up in a difficult neighborhood and under a strict Navy father. Cruz also has a brother who is a convicted felon.

5) Miranda Rae Mayo

Miranda Rae Mayo plays Stella Kidd in the show. She is the officer in charge of Truck 81 for Firehouse 51. Kidd and Gabby were friends from the past. A competent firefighter, Kidd might play an important role in Chicago Fire season 13. Mayo is a popular face on television, having previously appeared in True Detective and The Affair.

6) Daniel Kyri

Daniel Kyri portrays Firefighter Darren Ritter in Chicago Fire. Ritter’s uncle used to work as an FDNY firefighter. However, Ritter’s career as a firefighter has not been spotless, previously having been frozen upon receiving a call. Christopher Herrmann later recruits him at Firehouse 51. Darren is a compassionate worker who has friendly relations with his colleagues.

7) Jake Lockett

Lockett plays Sam Carver, a firefighter under Truck 81 of Firehouse 51. Carver is an efficient worker who does not mind going outside the rulebook to get the job done. This has landed him in trouble on several occasions, but his intentions are always noble. Besides being an actor, Jake Lockett is also a director, having made his directorial debut with his short film A Rush of Peace.

8) Jocelyn Hudon

Paramedic Lyla Novak, played by Jocelyn Hudon, is a paramedic for Firehouse 51. Lyla has been transferred to Ambulance 61 from Lakeview, replacing Lennox. Lyla’s career has been full of troubling episodes. For instance, an affair with her instructor landed her in trouble once. Hudson, the actor portraying Novak, is a trained ballerina and has appeared in films like The Strain and Pixels, among others.
