The preview for Creature Commandos episode 5, titled The Iron Pot, was just revealed by creator James Gunn on his socials. The episode is due to come out on Thursday, December 26, 2024. It will be kicking off the final three episodes of the DC animated show as conflicts and stakes start to rise with the life of Princess Ilana Rostovic hanging in balance.
It looks like in Creature Commandos episode 5, fans will get to see the backstory of Eric Frankenstein after he murdered Victor Frankenstein. It will also focus on his life after the Bride and how he was nursed back to health following the burning down of the castle. It looks like his relationship with a mysterious woman will also be explored.

Aside from that, the episode also teases Eric Frankenstein and Rick Flag Sr. working together. So, it looks like they are going to be working to stop the titular group from killing Princess Ilana Rostovic in Creature Commandos episode 5.
A recap of Creature Commandos episode 4
In Creature Commandos episode 4, the group returns to the U.S.A. after arresting Circe. However, Weasel's lawyer comes and collects him. On the other side, Circe shows Amanda Waller her vision of the future where the world has been destroyed by Ilana Rostovic and superheroes like Superman, Batman, and more are dead. This scares Amanda Waller enough that she orders Flag to kill Ilana Rostovic.
However, Flag doesn't agree on the mission and leaves the team. Amanda Waller then hires The Bride to lead the team, alongside Weasel, Nina, and Dr. Phosphorus head back to Pokolistan. The episode also dives deep into Weasel's backstory about how he was arrested and ended up in Belle Reve alongside the rest of the team.
It is revealed that before being arrested, he befriended some kids and used to play with them. When he and the kids entered a building, the groundskeeper saw it and called the police immediately. He then went after Weasel and the building was accidentally set on fire. As Weasel tried saving the children, he was shot by the police and failed to do so which led them to die. Meaning that Weasel was innocent all along.
Eric Frankenstein is revealed to have been following Rick Flag as he believes he has an affair with the Bride. Frankenstein attacks Flag in his home but soon realizes there has been a misunderstanding. Flag then recruits Frankenstein to help save the Princess and travel to Pokolistan with him.
What can fans expect from Creature Commandos episode 5?
Going into Creature Commandos episode 5, fans can expect a reunion between the Bride and Frankenstein. Given that Frankenstein has been chasing her for centuries, he will take Flag's invitation as a massive opportunity to work with him. So, fans can expect to see him be reunited with The Bride in Creature Commandos episode 5.
However, the nature of that reunion still remains to be seen. Other than that, fans can also expect to see Rick Flag Sr go up against the Creature Commandos themselves to stop them from hurting the Princess in episode 5.
