Daredevil: Born Again - Release date, cast, plot, and everything we know so far

The first teaser for Daredevil: Born Again was posted online, and the release date for the series was revealed too. Part of a sizzle reel of Marvel Television that highlighted the company's 2025 slate, the teaser revealed that fans will be returning to Hell's Kitchen on March 4, 2024, when the Charlie Cox-starrer premieres exclusively on Disney+.

Daredevil: Born Again will consist of 9 episodes that will see the Devil of Hell's Kitchen take on villains like Kingpin, Muse, and Bullseye. A teaser for the show was recently shown behind closed doors at the recent New York Comic Con, but this is the first time fans got to see official footage from the show.

Alongside that, the show will also see the return of Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, alongside a slew of returning characters as well.

The series will be available to watch exclusively on Disney+ when the series premieres on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Given that Disney+ follows a weekly release schedule, fans can expect the show to follow the same format. The series is set to have 9 episodes.

Is Daredevil: Born Again a reboot?

Daredevil: Born Again won't be a full reboot, but rather a soft reboot that will connect the original Daredevil Netflix series to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. The original vision of the show saw it be a full reboot of the Daredevil brand, but with the overhaul that took place following the writers' strike last year, the show was retooled to bring in the elements from the original Netflix series.

This was confirmed by actor Vincent D'Onofrio in January this year. He is returning to play Kingpin in the show. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said:

“During our restart of all the creative on Daredevil: Born Again, all the creatives got together and said, ‘Look, this is how we’ve got to do it now. So we are for sure only speaking about it in terms of being directly connected to the original Daredevil, and that’s a great thing. It brings in a lot of cool stories and all the collateral story that happened in those original three seasons.”

What is Daredevil: Born Again about?

The official logline for the upcoming Marvel Television series starring Charlie Cox sees Matt Murdock once again finding himself at odds with Wilson Fisk / Kingpin. The series will see Fisk pursuing his own political venture in New York City, and with crime once again on the rise, Daredevil is forced to come out again.

"Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course."

Alongside this, it looks like Daredevil will also be teaming up with The Punisher to take on bad guys in the city. The season will also feature other villains like Bullseye and the debut of a new villain known as Muse too.
