The first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was released online on January 17, 2025, and it teased the return of Charlie Cox's devil of Hell's Kitchen. Set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, the series will be continuing Daredevil's story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after he headlined his own three-season show on Netflix, which ended in 2018.

The trailer for Daredevil: Born Again promises a lot. From the connection to the Netflix show to the returning cast members, brand-new villains, and more, the series will be giving fans what they have wanted out of the character for years now.

So, let's dive deep into the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again and see its major takeaways.

Breaking down the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again

Return of the original cast

Daredevil: Born Again will not only be seeing the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio as Daredevil/ Matt Murdock and Kingpin/ Wilson Fisk, but the return of the original cast as well. Originally, the show was intended to be a complete reboot of the Daredevil character, but following the creative overhaul, certain changes were made, which saw the show be connected to the Netflix series.

Those changes included the return of Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page as well. Other than that, the series will also be seeing the return of Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter. The end of season 3 teased that the character will be becoming Bullseye in the future, and it looks like fans will get to see that here too.

Actor Jon Bernthal will be returning to play Frank Castle/ The Punisher in the show, while Ayelet Zurer will be reprising her role as Vanessa too.

Wilson Fisk is the mayor of New York City

Daredevil: Born Again will also be adapting a crucial story from the comics that only recently took place. It will see Wilson Fisk becoming the Mayor of New York City, which might just shake up the power dynamics in a huge way. In the trailer, Matt can be seen referring to him as the mayor, which makes him suspicious of the villain.

This storyline was set up at the end of Echo, where the series concluded with it being teased that this is where Fisk's story is set to go next. However, it remains to be seen how it may impact the plot.

Introduction of new characters

The trailer for Daredevil: Born Again also introduced new characters like the White Tiger and Muse into the fold. White Tiger will be played by late actor Kamal de los Reyes, while it is unknown who will be portraying Muse in the show. However, it appears that Muse is going to be one of the major antagonists of the season as well

In the comics, Muse is a sadistic serial killer, who thinks he is giving people a gift by letting them go of their lives. This directly puts him at odds with Daredevil, as he fails to understand why the hero would go out of his way to save his victims.
