A brief recap of Dark Matter episode 3
Episode 3 kicked off with Leighton apologizing to Jason 1 for Dawn killing Daniela. Meanwhile, a Chicago PD officer visited the facility to meet Leighton.
She wanted to discuss the four missing people from Velocity, including Blair Caplan. With Jason’s sudden disappearance and reappearance causing doubts about the company, Leighton and the company were really in a pickle.
Elsewhere, Jason 2 continued living the life of Jason 1 in his place by impressing Daniela 1 with expensive champagne and treating Charlie with a personalized skateboard. After learning about a dinner party, Jason 2 was shocked to discover that Jason 1’s reality included Blair Caplan.
Given that the Blair of his world was the first person sent to the Box, he was skeptical about who he was talking to in that reality during the dinner night. Later, while going through Jason 1’s stuff, Jason 2 learned about Maximillian, the twin brother of Charlie, who had a stillbirth.
In Jason 2’s reality, Jason 1 decided to cooperate with Leighton to learn what they were working on. Leighton showed him the Box, the very artifact capable of sending human beings to different realities.
Jason 1 was surprised to learn that the missing piece to his theory that Jason 2 managed to complete was the active-adaptive alloy of the structure that could stop any contact from the outside world.
While talking to Amanda, Jason 1 subtly hinted that he was not the person whom everyone thought him to be. On learning that, Jason tried to interrogate him and even brought Ryan to expose him. After Ryan and Jason were alone, Jason explained Ryan what actually was going on and learned about the drug, without which the Box was useless.
After Ryan got taken away by Leighton and others, Amand tried to sneak Jason 1 out. However, given the facility was tightly secured, they had no other option but to enter the Box to save themselves from Leighton and Dawn.
Amanda and Jason woke up from being unconscious due to the effects of the drug they took upon entering the Box. Although the two woke up in the same structure, the path ahead of them was extended with no end in sight.

What to expect from Dark Matter episode 4?
Dark Matter episode 4, titled “The Corridor,” is anticipated to see in which reality Amanda and Jason 1 will end up in.
Given there's no compass-like device within the structure that could lead them to Jason 1’s reality to pursue Jason 2, they are likely to explore a different reality where things might be better than both the previous universes or even worse.
