How was Lori Isenberg arrested?

Lori Isenberg was charged with wire fraud, and a $500,000 warrant was issued in her name.

Lori was the executive director of North Idaho Housing Coalition from where she embezzled $579,495.75 in total.

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho mentioned that she encashed bogus invoices in her daughters' names. The Coeur d'Alene Press reported that she had been initially charged with 40 counts of forgery and one count of grand theft on February 27, 2018.

Lori went into hiding and remained missing for two months before she turned herself in in July 2018. During the same time, Larry Isenberg’s autopsy results came back with the shocking revelation of diphenhydramine toxicity after poisoning with Benadryl, per Coeur d'Alene Press.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s investigator Brad Maskell shared:

“That pretty much sent the case into a full-fledged homicide investigation.”

Armed with evidence to believe that Lori had drugged her husband, Larry, for financial gain, she was charged with his murder. In July 2018, she pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud and one count of theft from a federal program, per the United States Department of Justice.
