Deceitful Love season 1 is an upcoming romantic drama series slated to premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. It is based on the British limited series, Gold Digger, which aired in 2019. The series is directed by Pappi Corsicato and written by Teresa Ciabatti, Eleonora Cimpanelli, Flaminia Gressi, and Michela Straniero.
In Deceitful Love season 1, Monica Guerritore stars as Gabriella, a 60-year-old divorcee who gets romantically involved with the 30-something Elia, played by Giacomo Gianniotti. Netflix described the show's synopsis as follows:

Monica Guerritore plays the protagonist Gabriella, a wealthy hotel owner in Italy. At the age of 60, she falls in love with the much younger Elia and marries him against the wishes of her children.
Monica is a veteran Italian actress who has worked in films like My Big Gay Italian Wedding, The Worst Week of My Life, A Perfect Day, etc. She has also appeared on the small screen in shows like Rossella, Amanti e Segreti, Thou Shalt Not Kill, Vita da Carlo, to name a few.
2) Giacomo Gianniotti as Elia
Giacomo Gianniotti plays Elia, a 30-something guy who begins dating the 60-year-old Gabriella. Their "May-December" relationship makes Gabriella's children question his real intentions.
Giacomo is an Italian-Canadian actor whose most prominent television role is playing Dr. Andrew DeLuca in Shonda Rhimes' medical drama series, Grey's Anatomy. His other television roles include Reign, Copper, Murdoch Mysteries, Selfie, Station 19, and Backpackers, among others.
Additionally, he has also starred in films like The Cuban, Diabolik - Ginko Attacks!, Race, Diabolik - Who Are You?, and the television film The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.
3) Emanuel Caserio as Stefano
Emanuel Caserio plays Stefano, one of Gabriella's sons. He is suspicious of Elia's intentions, thinking that Eilia is after his mother's wealth.
Caserio's film roles include Me, Myself & Her, Forever Young, I Hate Summer, The Male Gaze: Hide and Seek, Bridges of Sarajevo, etc. Additionally, he has been featured in television shows such as Roles, Welcome to Italy, and Il Paradiso delle Signore, among others.
4) Dharma Mangia Woods as Gabriella's daughter
Dharma Mangia Woods, an Italian actress and model, plays Gabriella's daughter on the show. She, along with her brothers, opposes her mother's closeness with Elia.
