Created by Eric Kripke of The Boys fame, Supernatural, first aired on The WB network on September 13, 2005. Following its success, the show continued for 14 more seasons with episodes of the same being released on The CW network until the conclusion of its fifteenth season on November 19, 2020.

The plot of Supernatural chronicled two brothers Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester whose task was to hunt down mischief-making supernatural beings around them. Having said that, one of the lesser-discussed aspects of the show is the duo's personal lives which are as complicated as their professional ones.

For instance, Dean's only child, Emma was born when Dean had a one-night stand with Lydia. The complications of that aside, things became even more complex when Emma was tasked with killing her father, based on an Amazonian tradition.

Emma Winchester, the only daughter of Dean Winchester in Supernatural was born out of a romantic rendezvous with a woman named Lydia. Emma was born into the Amazonian race owing to which she was destined and trained to kill her father as part of a ritual. However, she was one of the few people who refused to follow suit with the traditions and went against killing her father.

Emma was no normal child. Only a day after Lydia became pregnant she was already in her ninth month of pregnancy. Following her birth, Emma was welcomed with full Amazonian traditions and was trained according to the Amazonian laws of the land.

Emma's growth spurt was also peculiar and unlike the other kids. While other kids her age were not able to talk, analyze, and reflect, she could, at just one year of age. Additionally, she also aged at a faster rate than the others around her did.

How was Emma Winchester killed in Supernatural?

In season 7 epidose13, to get ritualistically indoctrinated into the Amazonian culture Emma had to kill her father Dean Winchester. Not only that, she also had to kill Sam Winchester, Dean's brother and partner in crime. This was required because the Winchester brothers were considered a threat to the people belonging to the Amazon race.

Having said that, although Emma was willing to adopt all the other aspects of the Amazonian life, she was not willing to kill his father, at least not consciously. Therefore when the chance came, she came clean to her father and confessed that she did not intend to kill him but could not help it as it was in her nature.

Dean understood Emma's situation but was soon proven wrong about her innocence when she attempted to harm him with a dagger. Dean also had his guard up when the situation arose, however, none of them could harm the other. The tension between the two is finally broken by Sam, who enters the scene and shoots at Emma, killing her in the process.

Supernatural is available to view on several popular streaming platforms. This includes Netflix, TNT, Hulu, Sling TV, YouTube TV, YouTube, Google Play Movies, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Plus, and Fandango at Home.
