What happens in Disclaimer season 1 episode 6?
The episode opened with Nicholas being admitted to a hospital. He had a stroke due to a drug overdose. As his parents rushed to the doctor, the latter informed them that even if he survived the present ordeal, he might end up with some permanent disabilities.
Robert felt guilty that he could never figure out that Nicholas was taking drugs. He called Stephen to inform him of his son’s condition. The old man wished to see him at the hospital. When Robert invited him enthusiastically, Stephen filled a syringe with deadly chemicals, intending to kill Nicholas altogether.
However, his plans are foiled when Catherine bumps into him at the hospital. At the end of the episode, Catherine breaks into his house and confronts him. She states that she wants to tell her side of the story now.
The latest episode of Disclaimer season 1 shows that Nancy’s portrayal of events in her book The Perfect Stranger did not adhere to the facts strictly. She filtered out the unflattering bits about her son Jonathan and made Catherine seem like a manipulative, cold-hearted woman.
What to expect from the upcoming episode?
Now that Catherine is finally ready to revisit the past and present her telling of the events, the entire episode that happened in Italy might take a clear shape in the characters’ and viewers’ minds.
Further, Disclaimer season 1 has made it clear that Stephen is on a mission to make Catherine suffer, regardless of her experiences. So, Stephen will probably be undeterred by Catherine’s confession. Additionally, the next episode might reveal Nicholas's fate. It might also show what life has in store for Robert.
