Doctor Odyssey season 1 episode 4, titled Wellness Week, will drop on ABC next Thursday, October 17, 2024. The new episode brings a new set of passengers in The Odyssey, and with them comes fresh medical emergencies that Dr. Max and his team have to deal with.
Previously, it was Plastic Surgery Week—an episode filled with emotional drama as Nurse Tristan's mommy and abandonment issues arose and the ship had its first casualty. Human Ken, whom Dr. Max had grown a friendship with, died on his first night aboard The Odyssey. A brief recap of Doctor Odyssey Season 1 Episode 3
Doctor Odyssey season 1 episode 3 is titled Plastic Surgery Week and the medical staff faced plenty of plastic surgery complications. There was a woman who developed frostbite from putting too much ice in her newly done surgery and another whose nose came off her face after snorting too much illegal substance.
However, the most dramatic part of episode 3 was Human Ken joining the rest of the Plastic Surgery Week passengers. He quickly developed a friendship with Dr. Max, who idolized him. But after Human Ken opened up to the doctor about his fear of developing sepsis after all the work he'd done on his body, Human Ken died in his sleep on his first night in The Odyssey.
Much to Dr. Max's dismay, there was nothing he could do for the other person as he had already died when they found him. He confessed to Nurse Avery later on that Human Ken and his show was his reprieve during his time at the hospital when he contracted COVID. Human Ken became the first casualty of The Odyssey.
What to expect in Doctor Odyssey season 1 episode 4?
Three episodes in, and so far, The Odyssey has only faced medical emergencies. However, episode 4 teases more emergencies that the luxury cruise ship and its crew are going to face, and this time, it's outside the medical bay. The Odyssey will be hit by a hurricane, and it will be in Captain Massey's hands to keep everyone aboard safe and sound.
Nurse Tristan in episode 3 faced some hard truths as he opened up about his abandonment issues to Dr. Max. However, that doesn't appear to be it as the next episode proves as dramatic for the nurse because he's about to experience being in the middle of a romantic drama.
