Doctor Odyssey is an American medical drama series created by Ryan Murphy and Joe Baken. The first season premiered on September 26, 2024, on ABC. 1) Joshua Jackson as Dr. Max Bankman
Joshua Jackson stars Dr. Max in the series. He is an exceptional doctor who was chosen for The Odyssey out of 110 applicants. In the pilot episode, he establishes a fairly good position for himself after handling crucial situations during an emergency.
Right after he boards the ship, he starts making a healthy connection with the people working around him. However, his slightly romantic relationship with Nurse Avery might lead to some consequences in the upcoming episodes.
Jackson, a Canadian-American actor, is best known for playing the fictional character of Pacey Witter in the popular nineties teen drama Dawson's Creek. He has also made appearances in other TV series, including Fringe (2008), The Affair (2014), When They See Us (2019), Dr. Death (2021), and Fatal Attraction (2023).
2) Phillipa Soo as Nurse Avery Morgan
Phillipa Soo plays the character of Nurse Avery, a medical practitioner who has experience working on a ship. Massey is the lead person in guiding the crew to save the ship from the rogue waves surrounding the sea. The Captain eventually finds himself developing an infatuation with a widow but experiences an attack on his date.
Johnson is best known for his iconic role as Sonny Crockett in the 1980s police TV series Miami Vice, which earned him a Golden Globe award and an Emmy nomination. In 1996, the actor received the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his role as Captain Nash Bridges in the police drama Nash Bridges.
He recently appeared as Chief Sandy Burnne Jeremy Saulnier's Rebel Ridge (2024). Some of his other credits include Django Unchained (2012), Cold in July (2014), A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017), Knives Out (2019), Watchmen (2019), and Nash Bridges (2021).
4) Sean Teale as Nurse Tristan Silva
Sean Teale plays Nurse Tristan, a crucial member of the team who has a secret liking for Avery. He gets deeply hurt when he realizes that Avery is sharing a love interest with Dr. Max. Tristan eventually starts dating a woman named Kelly, but he finds it difficult to overcome his past feelings.
