However, Valya then decides to go to Salusa Secundus when she gets to know that Pruwet Richese died under the same mysterious circumstances too. She then informs Tula to get Lila ready for the Agony so that she can access her genetic memories and talk to Raquella about the reckoning.
On Salusa Secundus, things are dire as the death of Pruwet has sent the Imperium into a state of mourning. Desmond admits to killing Pruwet to Emperor Corrino and swears his loyalty to him.
However, Corrino imprisons Desmond instead. At the same time, Duke Richese threatens to harm the Corrino empire if his son's killer isn't brought to him, but Valya arrives in time to calm things down.
Valya then asks Corrino if she can talk to Desmond to understand his plans. Desmond reveals to her that the Sandworm on Arrakis gave him a gift, and he agrees to killing Kasha as well.
Later on, the Emperor's wife, Natalya, asks Desmond whether he can still be loyal to them, and he agrees. Desmond is then set free, and he starts burning the Duke from the inside on the Emperor's order and asks him to leave Salusa Secundus.
During the Agony, Lila is able to access her genetic memory and talks to Raquella, who tells her that the key to the reckoning is the person born twice. However, Lila ends up dying when her mother Dorotea arrives in her memory and kills her to spite the Sisterhood. The episode ends with Valya confronting Desmond and using the voice on him, but realizing that her powers don't work on him.
