On August 13, Netflix via Tudum, gave fans the first five minutes of the first episode of Emily in Paris season 4 part 1, where Emily is the prime subject of a viral TikTok video, where her love life is dissected. She doesn't like it, as she gets exposed majorly, and behind her character wreck is Camille's brother Timothee.
The main reason why the creators made the TikTok and added these five minutes was to give fans a recap of what had happened on the show to date.

The video of Emily in Paris season 4 part 1 starts with a recap. The wedding confrontation goes viral on TikTok. Camille confronts Gabriel at their wedding, where she reveals Gabriel's love for Emily, after which Camille leaves.
Alfie (Camile's boyfriend) departs. Camille flees, and Gabriel learns that Camille is expecting a child, leaving everything in a mess. And now, Emily's love life is in shambles when Camille's younger brother calls her a home wrecker on TikTok after exposing her. Camille's brother helps everyone understand Emily's love triangles as he breaks them down.
However, Emily still cannot detach herself from Gabriel as seen in the video. When Emily bumps into Gabriel, she sees him struggling to open the door to his apartment, finds out that he has hurt his hand and decides to help him. Meanwhile, they talk about the mess and the way they are trying to do the right thing but at the expense of themselves.
Emily then gets a call, receiving another blow to her face, as part two of the TikTok video goes viral. The viral fame affects her negatively. Her colleagues and superiors, too, watch the viral TikTok. She now thinks that Camille is doing this on purpose, to cover up what had happened between Camille and Sofia in the last season.
Why did Camille's brother expose Emily in Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1?
Camille's brother exposes Emily because of multiple reasons. Firstly, Emily is the reason why Camille has a heartbreak, after which she runs away.
Emily had also slept with Camille's younger brother when she went to Camille's house. Although he likes Emily, she doesn't seem to like him back, and because of that, he's hell-bent on exposing Emily for her love triangle.
Lily Collins, who plays Emily, told about the character of Emily in season 4 to Netflix:
"Honestly, for me, this is the year that Emily really becomes the most vulnerable, Emily feels more feelings — everyone feels more feelings this year. There’s more honesty and openness within all of the situations they’re going through.”
Darren Star (creator of Emily in Paris) told Tudum that they wanted to give fans and viewers a recap of the previous seasons; so they made the TikTok on the show:
"The show’s been away for a while, so we wanted a fun way to do a little bit of a recap. I love the character of Camille’s brother. I just love the way he framed the whole situation in his mind and comically interpreted it.”
