Everything you need to know about the show Euphoria
Euphoria is an American adaptation of an Israeli show of the same name which aired on Hot 3, from 2012-2013. For HBO, Sam Levison helms his duties as the showrunner and writer. The series holds an impressive IMDb rating of 8.3/10.
The plot of this show revolves around the complexities of teen life in America. The series is shown from the perspective of an addict played adeptly by Zendaya as Rue, though every character has an equally interesting arc in the show making them a main character in their own stories.
Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger as Ash played by Javon Walton apparently dies after the SWAT raids his house while Fezco played by the late actor Angus Cloud tries to save him. Lexi’s play premieres and it shows the private life of all her close friends causing the big fight between Maddie and Cassie. This fight turns into a physical altercation on stage, which leads to the psychotic and deranged fight between Nate and Cassie.
The finale of season 2 showed Rue in recovery and trying to be better. The third season is likely to pick up from there and according to showrunner Sam Levinson, “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
Seasons 1 and 2 of Euphoria are now streaming on Prime Video and Max. More updates on season 3 is expected after filming resumes.
