Everybody Still Hates Chris is an upcoming animated series that delves into the life of comedian and actor Chris Rock. A sequel to his 2005 series Everybody Hates Chris, the show is executive-produced by Rock himself, who also acts as the narrator.
The show will follow the comedian’s life as a teenager growing up in 1980s Brooklyn. The original series followed his adventures as a kid, with the sequel set to bring a fresh take to the story, revolving around his struggles as an adolescent.
The official synopsis of the series reads:
“Animated sequel series which follows Everybody Hates Chris (2005), focusing on Chris Rock's life as a kid in 1980's Brooklyn, New York.”
The sequel series is set to premiere on Paramount+ on September 25, 2024, and will consist of ten episodes. A range of major stars, including Chris Rock, Ayo Edibiri, and Brooklyn 99 fame Terry Crews, are set to appear as voice actors in Everybody Still Hates Chris.

1) Chris Rock as Narrator
Of course, no series about Chris Rock’s earlier years would be complete without himself starring in it. Rock is the narrator of the series, chronicling his own life as a teenager growing up in Brooklyn, New York.
A winner of 4 Primetime Emmys, Chris Rock has enjoyed a stellar career in Hollywood and beyond. He has acted in movies such as Head of State, The Longest Yard, and Death at a Funeral. He also has a successful comedy career and has produced multiple standup specials.
2) Terry Crews as Julius
Terry Crews is starring in Everybody Still Hates Chris as Julius, one of Chris Rock’s closest friends growing up. Crews has also enjoyed an illustrious career in the industry and has proved his credentials as a voice actor in several projects, including Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and Craig of the Creek.
The actor has previously been seen in multiple sitcoms and movies. He grew to fame due to his work on Brooklyn 99 and has been seen in movies such as The Expendables, Idiocracy, and The Killer’s Game. Crews is also well-known for his longtime association with America’s Got Talent, where he acts as a host.
3) Ayo Edibiri as Unknown
Another major star who will be heard in Everybody Still Hates Chris is Ayo Edibiri. A winner of a Primetime Emmy, Edibiri has received huge fame due to her work in The Bear. Furthermore, the actress has also been seen in projects such as Bottoms and Theater Camp.
The actress has also voice-acted in the past, prominently in movies like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and Inside Out 2. Not much is known about her role in Everybody Still Hates Chris. However, she can be expected to emerge as a major star in the series.
4) Tichina Arnold as Rochelle
Tichina Arnold takes on the role of Rochelle in Everybody Still Hates Chris. The actress, known for her work in notable projects such as Wild Hogs and Martin, will be reprising her role from Everybody Hates Chris.
She is one of the few faces who are set to reprise their roles from the original series. The 55-year-old actress is most well-known for her work on Martin and Little Shop of Horrors.
