Evil season 4 episode 4: Why Andy tried to kill himself?
As seen in Evil season 4 episode 4, once again, under the influence of Leland’s hypnogogic suggestion, Andy was going to do something that would have left him traumatized his entire life. To start from the beginning, Leland was having trouble handling the Antichrist baby, given he was not adept or capable of parenting.
Leland sought help from Sheryl, the last human on Earth who could help him out of his misery. Sheryl eventually managed to decipher that Kristen, being the biological mother was the only person who could calm the child. After thinking thoughtfully, she played Kristen’s call recordings which immediately put the baby in a state of tranquility.

Leland had to give four transfusion bottles to Sheryl for her help. Later he received an audio recording of Kristen’s therapy sessions for the baby and learned that Kristen was sad about Andy wanting a boy. She believed this was the cause of her husband going AWOL every time.
Andy found this as an opportunity to bond Kristen with the Antichrist baby, but his plan was more sinister than he already was. After subduing Andy through the hypnogogic spell, Leland ordered him to kill his youngest daughter, Laura by injecting a hypodermic between her toes.
Andy followed all instructions thoroughly, but when the time came to inject the needle, he stuck the hypodermic to himself and gave himself cardiac arrest. Luckily was saved in time and was taken to the hospital. Andy realized that something was not right with him so he proclaimed to get admitted to Lexer Miller Insititute, which was a psychiatric hospital.

Evil season 4 episode 4: Why Kristen and other had trouble finishing their words
While investigating their latest case where they had to solve whether Stuart Lawry, a journalist who was suddenly facing trouble finishing his words, was possessed by a demon or not. Stuart’s wife sought the trio’s help, believing that exorcism could have a therapeutic effect on the patient.
While conducting a small test, Kristen supposed it could be a neurological symptom. However, suddenly David, Kristen, and Ben faced the same issue. Kristen was more shocked to learn that her ACIA (aphasia cognitive impairment analysis, a language disorder test) score lowered.
David also struggled with his homily and Ben was also facing the same problem of finishing his words. Nevertheless, the sudden affliction was resolved after Stuart’s exorcism.

Evil season 4 episode 4: How Sister Andrea saved everyone
Sister Andrea played a crucial role in helping the trio and Stuart by eliminating the demons responsible for their misery. The reason why the four of them couldn’t speak was indeed a demon who was feeding on all of their words, making them feel discomforted and stressed.
Even David found Sister Andrea running with hedge sheers around the Church strange. However, her techniques could seem peculiar, but unbeknownst to Father Frank and the others, her methods have indeed proven to be helpful.
She also helped Father Frank move on from the grief of losing Monsignor Matthew Korecki. Sister Andrea had been persistent despite Father Frank’s unwillingness to accept her intuitions and suspicions.
She successfully managed to unshackle the demon of grief from Father Frank, who for some reason called himself Timothy. While confronting the demon, Sister Andrea also learned that it was not just Father Frank who was the victim, but her too.
