The creators wanted Godcat to sound like a powerful but funny being, and they picked Tom Ellis.

Inman, who helps run the show, said Ellis did a great job of showing how Godcat is a powerful being annoyed by being in a cat's body. Ellis makes Godcat both funny and easy to understand as a god who doesn't like being stuck in a cat.

What is Exploding Kittens about?

Exploding Kittens is a story about the eternal fight between good and evil, but with a funny twist. In the story, God and the Devil, who are really important, come to Earth. But they're not themselves. They somehow become cats living in homes right next to each other.

We see them go on all kinds of funny and silly trips and try to figure out how to live as cats on Earth.

Exploding Kittens is mostly focused on what Godcat is trying to do. He wants to help a family that is having a tough time. But it's not easy for him at all. He has to stop being mad at humans and find a way to win against Devilcat.

If he can do that, he can go back to Heaven. This cartoon mixes jokes and laughs with the old story of good guys and bad guys. It's all set in the kind of life we live in every day. This mix makes the show really special on Netflix's list of cartoons.
