Family Guy is all set to release its first-ever Halloween special this year, focusing on an exciting plot and featuring an exciting guest star in the form of Glen Powell. This year saw Glen Powell's popularity rise significantly, and now the Hit Man actor is all set to appear in the Family Guy Halloween Special.
The trailer for the upcoming special dropped earlier today, giving a glimpse at Quahog's annual Pumpkin Contest, which is also where Glen Powell comes in. Powell plays Patrick McCloskey, the reigning champion in Quahog's annual Pumpkin Contest, and our gang of misfits will try anything to beat him and win the competition.
The trailer also features all the hilarious antics that set this show apart while cleverly incorporating the theme of Halloween all throughout. It is set to premiere on October 14, 2024.

This Halloween special is part of Hulu's exclusive holiday specials that are meant to kick off Family Guy season 23. It is also a part of the show's 25th anniversary celebration. It was first announced at the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
The official synopsis for this upcoming special, titled Peter Peter Pumpkin Cheater, reads:
"Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (Glen Powell) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary."

As depicted in this trailer, Stewie's teddy bear Rupert (voiced by Derek Jacobi) also comes to life in this Family Guy episode and possibly goes on a killing streak, adding the "fear factor" to this Halloween.
Moreover, there is also a Frankenstein reference where we see Stewie turn into a kind of mad scientist, which could have also led to Rupert coming to life. All in all, this episode seems packed with exciting storylines. This special could be the perfect way to kick off this very special season.
