In April this year, FBI: International season 4 was officially greenlit for production. The new season of the popular police procedural drama on CBS premiered on October 15, 2024. FBI: International is the second spin-off from Dick Wolf's drama FBI and the third installment overall in the FBI franchise.
FBI: International season 4 brings back the members of the FBI's international "Fly Team". This team consists of highly skilled Special Agents headquartered in Budapest. From this European vantage point, the agents try to locate and eliminate threats against America.

FBI: International season 4: Who joined the cast?
Jay Hayden
Hayden will join the cast as Agent Tyler Booth, a recurring role in the series. As per a report published by Deadline on September 3, 2024, Agent Booth is an “intelligent and charismatic agent in Budapest looking for assistance on a case”. He will be seen in the second half of the series.
Hayden is famous for portraying the role of Travis Montgomery in Station 19. Previously, he appeared in the ABC series The Catch for two seasons. As for films, he has worked in productions like Wild Oats and The House Bunny, among others. In Wild Oats, he worked with stars like Jessica Lange, Demi Moore and Shirley MacLaine.
Jesse Lee Soffer
Soffer joins the cast of FBI: International season 4 not to reprise his role as Chicago P.D.‘s Jay Halstead. He plays an entirely new character: Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell. As per a TVLine report published on July 22, 2024, Wes is a “charming and rakish” agent who strives to deliver justice through his tenacity and instincts.
Soffer is famous for playing Halstead in Chicago P.D. since the show’s premiere in 2014. In October 2022, the character exited the show in its tenth season. He has also appeared in shows like CSI: Miami, Chicago Fire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Med, among others.

FBI: International season 4: Who left the cast?
Luke Kleintank
Fans of the series won't see Luke Kleintank playing Special Agent Scott Forrester in season 4 of FBI: International. He was an original cast member of the show since its premiere in 2021. Kleintank’s character has headed the Fly team since season 1. Hence, his departure will no doubt upset many fans.
As per a Deadline report published on May 21, 2024, the actor left the series in order to spend more time with his family. Kleintank is famous for playing Finn Abernathy in Bones, Tyler Harne in Max and Joe Blake in The Man in the High Castle, among other projects.
Heida Reed
Like Kleintank, Reed has been associated with the show since its premiere, playing Special Agent Jamie Kellett, only second in command after Scott Forrester. Her character left the show in season 3 and won't appear in FBI: International season 4 as well.
Deadline reported on December 7, 2023 that her departure was a creative decision. An Icelandic actress and model, Reed is known for her roles in One Day (2011), Jo (2013), Silent Witness (2014) and the BBC drama Poldark (2015–2019), among others.
