Episode 4 of FBI: Most Wanted season 6 was released on CBS on November 12, 2024. The latest episode of the popular series delves into the personal and professional challenges of FBI Special Agent Sheryll Barnes.

Barnes has recently broken up with her wife, and her children have moved out with the latter. She is currently struggling with loneliness and general dejection. However, just when things seem to be going as terribly as possible, she receives a mysterious phone call, which eventually kickstarts a high-octane investigation.

At the end of FBI: Most Wanted season 6 episode 4, Barnes is given a warning by Remy. The case Barnes takes up in the episode should not technically have been tackled by her task force. Hence, Remy reprimands her for not following his instructions and going ahead with the investigation anyway.

FBI: Most Wanted season 6 episode 4 shows the rift between Barnes and Remy

As the episode begins, it is clear that Barnes’ personal life is in shambles. As the episode progresses, she gets a phone call from someone pretending to be with the IRS. She can instantly understand it is a scam call, but soon the caller informs her that her name is Jessie and that she is being kept hostage and forced to scam people online.

Barnes senses the fear in the caller’s voice and immediately concludes that there is a genuine case here. She informs Remy the same, who asks her to tell Jubal to take care of the matter since it is outside the jurisdiction of their task force.

However, the agony of the 17-year-old girl affects Barnes personally. Together with Hana, they go rogue and start investigating the case on their own. They eventually solve the case and rescue Jessie, but Remy issues a warning to the agent, telling her that the next act of insubordination would get her out of the team.

FBI: Most Wanted season 6 episode 4 addresses the issue of human trafficking

Jessie has already told Barnes in the call that the perpetrators go by the names of “C” and “D.” Barnes and Hanna trace the VPN that was used to hide Jessie’s location. This leads them to a man named Howard Merger.

Merger is a smart person who does not divulge any information to the FBI agents. However, a dead body is found on his property, and a thorough investigation eventually connects him to Denny and Carson Cobb, a married couple. It turns out that Carson and Denny are the “C” and “D.”

Meanwhile, the plot of the latest episode of FBI: Most Wanted season 6 is thickened by the fact that Barnes receives another phone call from Jessie. This time the terrified girl informs her that the perpetrators have figured out that someone has been leaking information to the FBI.

Carson and Denny essentially run a company to scam people, and they abduct young people and force them to work for them. Now that they have sensed that they are being followed by the FBI, they start torturing the young boys and girls to find out who the mole is.

When they reach Shandy, Jessie’s friend, she breaks down and confesses that Jessie is the mole. This puts her life at risk, and the FBI agents are in a race against time to save her.

All ends well in FBI: Most Wanted season 6 episode 4

“C” and “D” put a bullet through Shandy to prove a point. Just as they are about to do something more heinous, the FBI agents show up, and an intense shootout ensues. Both perpetrators are killed in the same.

As FBI: Most Wanted season 6 episode 4 draws to an end, Shandy is rushed to a hospital, and the others, including Jessie, are rescued from the place. However, Remy does make it a point to warn Barnes not to go against his orders in the future.

He understands that she did it to somehow cope with the loneliness she has been facing, and due to the fact that she is also a mother. However, he also reminds her of the protocol and the fact that he is the boss of the place.

The next episode of FBI: Most Wanted season 6 will be released on November 19, 2024.
