FBI season 7 episode 6 opens with a case of serial killing
As the episode opens, the viewers are given a glimpse of the modus operandi of the killer. It is soon revealed that three women have been killed over the past few months in a similar way, establishing the case as one involving a serial killer.
As the bodies of the victims are examined, it is brought to the fore that their reproductive organs were cut out of their bodies when they were alive, and this painful procedure caused their deaths. Thus, the agents start looking for criminals with a history of hurting women out of misogynistic spite.
This initial search leads them to Ray DiStefano. Ray, incidentally, was the first criminal Agent Maggie had put away, and he was released from prison shortly before the murder of the first victim. Ray’s house is raided. However, he tries to flee.
He is stopped by Maggie and brought in for questioning. However, the agents soon realize that Ray could not have been the murderer since his method did not match with the current killer's. Thus, the search continues.

The case proves more difficult than it seemed initially
Halfway into FBI season 7 episode 6, the name of Dr. Adam Marion comes up. He is an OBGYN doctor who was visited by all of the victims. Maggie dresses up as a patient and goes to visit him.
It seems that for a man of medicine, Marion is too concerned about convincing women to not opt for a tubal ligation. According to his conception of femininity, women are biologically prepared to raise children no matter what, even if they are not psychologically ready for it.
Additionally, his recently deceased wife used to make tradwife videos on social media, instructing women about how to be the ideal wives to their husbands. Most importantly, the murder weapon, an obsidian knife, is found in his office. Maggie immediately arrests him.

Marion is not the killer either
However, it becomes clear from the DNA sampling found on the victims that the murderer is a woman. Toward the end of FBI season 7 episode 6, it dawns on the agents that the murderer could in fact be Marion’s receptionist, Hope Adkins.
Hope became infatuated with the idea of being the ‘ideal’ woman by marrying and becoming a mother. However, due to a biological condition, she could not be pregnant. Gradually, she developed a grudge against women who could but chose to do away with their reproductive functions surgically.
Thus, she tracked such women from Dr. Marion’s logs, followed them, kidnapped them, and made them recreate the tradwife videos Marion’s wife used to make. After that, Hope would cut the uteruses off those women, killing them in the process.
As the latest episode of FBI season 7 draws to its end, the agents finally piece the matter together and promptly set out to prevent Hope from murdering her next victim. They are successful in their attempt. However, OA has to put Hope down when she tries to attack Maggie with a knife.
