One of TV’s most iconic couples, Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) from Friends, have their own separate fanbase. 1) Ross and Rachel’s first kiss
As viewers, one always knew that Ross had a crush on Rachel since their school days. And as Rachel is oblivious to this and nothing much happens between the two in season 1, we see Ross with a new girlfriend in season 2. But it is in this season’s episode 7, titled, ‘The One Where Ross Finds Out’ that Rachel realizes her feelings for Ross and is upset that he is dating someone else.
But soon, Ross finds out that Rachel reciprocates his feelings through a drunken voicemail. Headed for the group’s iconic haunt, Central Perk, Ross and Rachel fight over the timing of Rachel’s reciprocal, leaving Rachel in tears.
But viewers are in for a surprise, as Ross comes back and the two share a passionate kiss—starting the topsy-turvy love arc between the duo.
2) A heart-breaking break-up and fight
Season 3, episode 16 is one of the most emotional episodes of Friends, but the events that happen in this episode, have already been set in motion during the previous episode. In episode 15, Ross is excited to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their relationship.
But he gets in the way at her workplace, which causes a fight between the two. This leads to Rachel uttering "we need to take a break”.
And in episode 16, viewers are shocked when they learn that Ross has slept with another woman. Things get bad fast, as he gets an apologizing message from Rachel, and before he can handle anything, Rachel receives the news of his betrayal.

The two-part finale of season 8 with episodes 23 and 24, titled as, ‘The One where Rachel has a Baby’, is one of the most wholesome and adorable episodes. It was also the most highly viewed episode of the season.
The episode begins with Ross and Rachel arriving at the hospital with labor pains and unable to find a private room. As Rachel’s labor takes time, Ross’s mom wants him to propose to Rachel.
In the second part, Rachel finally gives birth to a baby girl and Ross and Rachel share an emotional moment. Even though the episode is filled with hilarious shenanigans of the group, this episode is an important landmark in Ross and Rachel’s relationship, which brings them even closer.
4) A neat ending
In the 10th and final season of Friends, the two-part episodes 17 and 18, titled as ‘The Last One’, is full of emotional moments. In part one, Ross and Rachel are amicable towards each other, but Ross hesitates to share his feelings and start anew with Rachel.
And as many films have shown, it is only when Rachel is about to leave for Paris, that Ross runs after her in a taxi.
In the second part, after many humorous misunderstandings, Ross finally reaches the airport and confesses his feelings to Rachel. But taken aback by all this, Rachel boards the flight.
Ross returns home dejected, but back at the airport, Rachel realizes that she too, loves Ross and gets back home. This leads to the memorable dialogue, where Rachel says, ‘I got off the plane’.
