Plot summary
Holidazed focuses on six different families living in a cul-de-sac as they prepare for the holiday season with their own distinct traditions and practices. The series depicts how spending the festivities with loved ones can be challenging for many reasons but is worthwhile in the end.
One of the six families is the Camarena family. Aspiring chef Gaby Camarena is forced to confront her past when her brother begins dating her high school bully, Katie Manetti-Hanahan. Old tensions rise again as the two women bicker over their different Christmas traditions.
When the architect Josh revisits his family for the holidays, he bumps into his high school classmate Nora under the unlikeliest circumstances. Nora, the local sheriff, pulls him over for driving infractions and assigns him community service, much to Josh's annoyance. Nevertheless, he falls for Nora and ends up bonding with her son, Theo, over the holidays.
Elsewhere, Ted and Marcus share news of their engagement with the former's family. However, when they visit Ted's family, a misunderstanding leads his grandmother Lin to think Marcus is engaged to Ted's sister, Ella, instead. In the Manetti-Hanahan family, Connie tries to get her husband, Chuck, to let go of his rivalry with their neighbor so that she can enjoy the holidays in peace.
Linda arrives to celebrate the festivities with her family and ex-husband, Robert. To their surprise, she brings along her much younger boyfriend, Evan. Although still slightly bitter about their divorce, Robert realizes he has much in common with his ex-wife's boyfriend.
Lucy Woods, a single mother and owner of a health-conscious bakery, invites her sister, Sylvie, for the holidays. The festivities become the perfect reason for the sisters to reconnect since their mother's passing.
