In the aftermath of the deadly battle at Rooks Nest, the House of the Dragon season 2 preview teases the intensification of tension between the Greens and the Blacks as the infamous Dance of the Dragons battle comes closer.

The teaser opens with Meleys, Princess Rhaenys' defeated dragon's head being paraded through the crowds in Kings Landing as onlookers look at it with fear and reverence. King Aegon is hailed victorious in the battle between his dragon, Sunfyre, and Princess Rhaenys' "traitor dragon," Meleys.

Among the onlookers is Lady Queen Dowager Alicent Hightower, who fears what she has started but knows that there is no way to stop it now. The teaser proceeds to show a noticeably upset Alicent confronting Aegon's council, who no longer seem to pay heed to her advice.

In the shot, the camera pans to Sir Criston Cole, who says, "We've given the war to the dragons," implying that the matter is now out of their hands.

Daemon's visions are also expected to intensify in episode 5 of House of the Dragon season 2

In episode 4 of House of the Dragon season 2 Daemon encounters Alys Rivers, a bastard of House Strong, and a wet nurse at Harrenhal, who gives him a drink that results in him having severe visions. These visions, considered prophetic by some viewers, are expected to intensify in the upcoming episode of the show, as teased in the episode preview.

As Daemon woke up with blood in his hands after seemingly killing Rhaenyra in one of his visions, the continuity of these visions could only mean a further severing of the bond between Rhaenyra and Daemon who often do not look eye to eye on most matters.

He appears briefly in the preview where he is seen sitting among a council, seemingly suggesting that he will be taking decision-making tasks henceforth.

This is a new look on Jacaerys after he grew up, as the last time the audience saw him going all in for her mother's cause was when he went to The Wall to speak to Cregan Stark in episode 1 of the show's second season.
