House of the Dragon season 2, episode 6, was released on July 21, 2024, on HBO. The episode revolved around the Black faction trying to find dragon riders for unclaimed dragons at Dragonstone and find an edge over the Greens.
Initially, this venture failed miserably since the dragon Seasmoke refused to accept a new rider and launched fire on Ser Steffon Darklyn, trying to claim him. However, at the end of the episode, Seasmoke is seen chasing Lord Corlys' unclaimed son Addam at the beach. Later, one of Rhaenyra's councilmen informs her that Seasmoke has a rider now.
Upon hearing it, Rhaenyra is seen flying off on her own dragon, Syrax, in the end, ready to confront whoever claimed a Targaryen dragon. It remains to be seen what her reaction will be when she finds Addam on the dragon.

What happened at the end of House of the Dragon season 2, episode 6?
At the end of House of the Dragon season 2 episode 6, Rhaenyra shares a private and intimate moment with one of her counselors, Mysaria. One of her ministers interrupts to inform her that the dragon Seasmoke has a rider.
Rhaenyra is surprised at this because it was Seasmoke who refused to accept a claimant earlier in the episode. She finally decides to take action herself, stepping out on her dragon Syrax, to confront whoever dared to ride a Targaryen dragon.
The audience knows, however, that the dragon rider in question is Addam, who is Lord Corlys' unclaimed son. Addam is shown to feel inadequate and incomplete as a possible Velaryon heir. However, Seasmoke tracks him down at the beach, even as he tries to run from the dragon. Ultimately, it is shown that the dragon was friendly and actually wanted Addam to claim him as a rider.

Why were Alicent and Helaena attacked at King's Landing?
In House of the Dragon season 2 episode 6, Alicent stepped out to the Sept to light a candle with her daughter Helaena. At the same time, Rhaenyra launched a tactical mission for the common folk of King's Landing. The people there had been suffering from famine for a long time, with no effort from the palace to remove the blockade. Rhaeynra sent ships full of ration as a message that she was a good ruler.
The people of King's Landing rushed to the boats, chanting slogans of Rhaenyra's glory. Alicent's guards informed her that she and Helaena should leave before the situation got worse.
However, while exiting the Sept, the knights shielding Alicent drew their swords on the public. This resulted in a mass outrage, even as Alicent ordered the soldiers to stand down.
The mob attacked the dowager queen and Helaena as they tried to get to their chariot. Though the two women managed to get away, it certainly shows that the smallfolk of the kingdom might turn against the Green faction's rule now.
