House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5, titled Regent, premiered on Max on July 14, 2024, and featured House Green and House Black recovering from the events that took place at Rook's Rest. With Rhaenys dying, House Black mourned her passing with Rhaenyra planning how to strike back, while House Green saw Aemond take over the kingly duties as Aegon started recovering from his injuries.
With so much having gone down in House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5, the outing ended with Rhaenyra and Jacaerys planning to bring in more dragon riders who aren't necessarily Targaryen but have ascended from the Valyrian bloodline.
Given that the event is referred to as Sowing in Fire & Blood, fans can expect to see that going forward in House of the Dragon season 2 episode 6, as the Blacks try to get more dragon riders to their side. On the other hand, fans can also expect Daemon to have a tough time in Harrenhal. Additionally, Aegon could be expected to be bedridden for the remainder of the season.
What can fans expect from House of the Dragon season 2 episode 6?
Rhaenyra to start her search for Dragon riders
The one thing that House Black doesn't lack is dragons, but they also need dragon riders for them to be tamed and be able to be used in battle. House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5 ended with Jacaerys telling Rhaenyra that they could search for more dragon riders by finding people who come from the Valyrian bloodline.
With the mother and son now going through their records to see who might fit the bill, fans can expect the Sowing to begin in the next episode. The Sowing is an event where Team Black puts out a call to find potential dragon riders so that the untamed dragons they have can be tamed and used in the battle.
While many people lost their lives in the process in Fire & Blood, ultimately the dragons found their dragon riders. Fans can certainly expect to see this take place in the coming episodes.

Daemon's quest at Harrenhal
With Daemon trying to establish himself as a third party in the war now, he has taken over the broken-down castle at Harrenhal and is trying to build it. In order to get the Brackens to surrender to him, Daemon permitted Willem Blackwood to fight dirty against them, and this has caused quite the issue among the Riverlords now.
With Blackwoods tormenting the common folk to get the Brackens to surrender, fans can expect to see the Riverlords further turn against Daemon. Given that his entire conquest at Harrenhal has been about trying to establish himself as a major player too, it certainly isn't going his way.
With Rhaenyra wondering what Daemon is up to as well, it certainly is going to be a tough time for him going forward in House of the Dragon.
Aegon to still be bed-ridden
With Aegon having suffered some huge injuries, fans can expect him to stay bedridden for the rest of the season while Aemond continues his duties. Given that Aemon has locked down King's Landing and the common folk are suffering because of it as well, things will certainly take a turn for the worse.
With Alicent and Helaena having an idea about Aemond being the reason for Aegon's current condition, fans can certainly expect to see tension further rise among House Green.
