Season 5: A brief recap
The official synopsis of Cobra Kai season 5 reads:
“As Terry leads Cobra Kai into a new regime, Daniel, Johnny and an old ally join forces in a battle that goes way beyond the mat.”
At the start of this season, Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen Toguchi team up to take down Cobra Kai, which is now headed by Terry Silver. The personal lives of Daniel and Miguel go through turmoil, and Tory finds out that Silver bribed the referee in the All-Valley tournament.
As the season progresses, Daniel's morale rises, and his fight with Silver continues. The students at Cobra Kai find out about Silver’s actions, and at the conclusion of the season, Daniel defeats Silver using the crane kick. The season ends with the twist that John Kreese, who was imprisoned, has faked his death and escaped.
