Jennie Garth recently reunited with her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, for a "family day out" with their three daughters. The Beverly Hills, 90210, alum took to her Instagram account on Sunday, July 7, 2024, to share photos from the family's boat day, which Facinelli organized.

The post comes just a week after the actress revealed on her I Choose Me podcast that she and Peter are "officially friends now."

"We had a family day out. It was a beautiful day & seeing the girls happy made my heart feel so full!" she wrote in her caption.

Jennie Garth met Peter Facinelli on the sets of An Unfinished Affair (1996). They tied the knot in 2001 and share three children, Luca, 27, Lola, 21, and Fiona, 17. The duo separated in 2012.

In her Instagram post, Jennie Garth spoke about her podcast and the "big changes" involving her ex. The latest episode saw Facinelli making an appearance on the podcast and the duo had a chat about several topics including divorce, their kids, and more.

"So, if you’ve heard this weeks ‘I Choose Me Podcast’ update you’ll know that there have been some BIG changes since my ex, Peter Facinelli, & I sat down to chat about all things co-parenting, divorce & bringing significant others into our children’s lives on the podcast," she wrote on Instagram.

She explained that by choosing to have the conversation, she hoped for a positive change in both their lives. However, she added that the outcome was far better than she expected.

"When deciding to chose to have this conversation, I had hoped that it would bring some positive changes into both our families lives, but I truly didn’t think we would get to the point we’re at now!" she added.

In a two-part podcast, Jennie Garth and her former husband, Peter Facinelli got candid about their divorce and spoke about their new friendship. The former mentioned that Facinelli had also unblocked her on social media and said:

"I'd been blocked on his socials for so long that I [quit] caring years ago... but now I'm unblocked, you guys. That's big news."

During her podcast episode last week, the actress also teased the outing, adding that they were warming up to each other.

"This week — get ready for it — we are all gonna be going on a boat together with the whole family. Whether we push one another overboard, that's still TBD," she joked.

As she shared the post online on Sunday after the outing, she said that the family had a "beautiful day" and referred to her comment on the podcast as she wrote:

"I’m still in shock that nobody was pushed overboard! #success."

The Twilight star got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Lily Anne Harrison in 2020 and the duo shares a son, Jack, who was born in 2022. Jennie, on the other hand, married Dave Abrams in 2015. Abrams filed for divorce in 2018, but officially withdrew the same the following year, as per Us Weekly.

While Abrams couldn't make it for the outing, Jack and Lily were part of the "family day out." In her post, Jennie Garth noted that she missed Abrams.
