Matt Lauer’s daughter, Romy, made her way into the headlines after the 20-year-old crashed her car in the Hamptoms, leaving behind a part of her number plate. As per In Touch Weekly, Romy Lauer was driving her Jeep Wrangler at the time of the accident and rushed from the scene before authorities made their way to the accident area.
The publication even mentioned that sources close to Matt Lauer’s family informed that Romy was issued a summon for leaving the scene without informing the authorities.
The authorities stated that the accident took place during the early hours of July 5, 2024. However, the news resurfaced after the authorities discovered a part of the licence plate from the scene of the accident.
For the accident, a ticket was issued to Romy, since the police mentioned that it was a minor accident and not a major one.
