NBC's upcoming series, Suits L.A., which is a spinoff of the hit legal drama series Suits, has released a new teaser that hints at the return of Gabriel Macht as the suave Harvard lawyer Harvey Specter. Suits fans have been undoubtedly waiting for this moment, to hear the news of the return of their favorite Harvey Specter, even in a guest role, in the spinoff series.
Suits L.A. was announced almost a year ago following the arrival of Suits on Netflix. It is set in the same universe as its predecessor but is not a continuation of the original series. The spinoff will introduce viewers to a new storyline following new characters.
Suits L.A. teaser sets up the return of Harvey Specter

Gabriel Macht's Harvey Specter is undoubtedly one of the best legal attorneys on television. Few can match his unparalleled brilliance and cockiness. The character was introduced in 2011 in NBC's Suits and quickly became a fan favorite. Even fourteen years later, his charisma continues to attract fans. So it was not very surprising when the new teaser for Suits L.A., led by Stephen Amell, set up the stage for the return of the legendary Harvey Specter.
NBC has released a 30-second promo that introduces us to Amell's Ted Black, a lawyer and former federal prosecutor based in LA. He runs a law firm that caters to high-profile clients in California. In the teaser, we get a glimpse of Black's talent and confidence as he goes about establishing himself as the best attorney in the country.
However, to be the best he must contend with the best. That is when the teaser presents us with a brief shot of a framed photo, showing Harvey and Ted when they were much younger. It is clear that the two of them are very familiar with each other and Ted Black even remarks that he liked him because he was the only person who was cockier than him.
Gabriel Macht will return as a guest star for a three-episode story arc. The news was confirmed by the actor last year in an Instagram post:
"When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right,"
This means that Harvey will be returning to assist Ted in a case. It will be interesting to see how two of the most cocky characters with brilliant minds work together.
What do we know about the release of Suits L.A.?
Suits L.A. was announced in 2023 and it has frequently shared updates on the status of its production. We know that filming for the show began in November 2024 and NBC has announced that it will be released as a part of the 2025 midseason slate of the network. Suits L.A. will premiere on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 9 pm ET on NBC.
