Agatha All Along episode 7, titled I Hold Death's Hand in Mine, packed in many major revelations that set up the upcoming final two episodes of the show. Focusing on Lilia Calderu, the episode dove deep into her life and gave viewers much-needed context about how she experiences and sees the world.

Until now, Lilia was often spouting gibberish in Agatha All Along, which collectively didn't make sense. However, episode 7 revealed that she experiences her life in a non-linear fashion, leading to her having the personality that she does.

This is revealed in a scene where she reads the tarots of all the members of the coven during her trial. Alongside representing herself, each card in the reading signifies a particular member of Agatha's coven and analyzes them by revealing secrets about these characters. These secrets offer audiences more information about them, effectively setting up the journey ahead.

What do the tarot cards in Agatha All Along episode 7 mean?

Lilia Calderu - Queen of Cups

During the trial, Lilia pulls the Queen of Cups— a card that signifies intuition, intelligence, and a nurturing feeling for others. This card represents Lilia herself as in Agatha All Along, since it is her who has been constantly in touch with her own feelings and does what she does in the service of others.

She deeply cares about others, and this is seen in the way she helps Agatha and also helps shape Billy's journey for the future.

Alice Wu - Knight of Wands

One of the other cards Lilia pulls is the Knight of Wands. This card represents excitement, a call to action, and a need for adventure— all the things that describe Alice Wu extremely well. While her time in the show was brief, she still was ready for action whenever the need came, and was selfless in a way too.

However, the Knight of Wands does represent the impulsiveness that Wu was. Her death still is mourned by the Coven and that in effect, makes everyone cautious for the future.

Jennifer Kale - High Priestess

The High Priestess card is something that signifies the journey that is yet to come and a source of potential that can't be measured. This card is represented by Jennifer Kale in Agatha All Along— who has been a major critic of Agatha, to the point the titular witch didn't even want her in the coven.

Jennifer, however, is someone who has a lot in common with Agatha as she is someone who aims to break herself free, as well as to achieve her full potential. With her representing the High Priestess card, it can mean that she has a role to play in the future and that she will be more important to Agatha's journey than one might have thought.

Billy Maximoff - Tower (Reversed)

The Tower in a tarot deck signifies destruction, however - when reversed, it helps signify change and a new beginning. Billy Maximoff is represented by this card as he has already had a massive change in his life. After the Hex is destroyed, his soul finds an empty vessel to live in, and thus it helps showcase that there is more to come to his journey.

So far, Billy hasn't been able to control his powers in Agatha All Along and this can lead to massive destruction. The card ultimately signifies that in the future he will have to learn to control them, to fully embrace himself, and save those he cares about. He can't let his past define him, and the reading effectively sets up Billy's future in the show.

Rio Vidal - Death

Death in a tarot reading often signifies an ending, but also new beginnings. However, Agatha All Along episode 7, it helped signify the true identity of Rio Vidal. Rio Vidal is actually the personification of Death, which made sense given the various hints that were sprinkled throughout the show.

Given that Vidal did state that all paths will eventually lead to her, it can signify a confrontation between Agatha and Rio in the final two episodes.

Agatha Harkness - Three of Swords

The Three of Swords usually signifies heartbreak, and that's what the majority of Agatha Harkness' journey in Agatha All Along has been represented by. With the deaths of the members of the coven haunting her, to her having to remember trading her child for the Darkhold, Agatha All Along has been all about Agatha's regrets.

However, the Three of Swords can also signify one having to embrace the past and heal from it. This can easily tease the fact that Agatha will be faced with something from the past in the final two episodes, and she will have to somehow move on from it.

The Coven - Three of Pentacles

The Three of Pentacles signifies teamwork and collaboration and it represents the entirety of Agatha's coven in Agatha All Along. It is through teamwork that these witches have accomplished what they have so far.

With much of the coven dead now, it will be difficult to do that, alongside many of them having conflicts with one another. With the card being pulled, it means that they will have to work together again to complete the final trial.

The final two episodes of Agatha All Along can be streamed on Disney+ and Hotstar from October 30, 2024.
