Hulu's Betrayal is back with another installment of the true-crime docuseries, Betrayal: A Father's Secret. The second season is coming just a year after the first part Betrayal: The Perfect Husband, premiered. The previous installment, Betrayal: The Perfect Husband, followed the story of a woman who's shocked to discover the devious double life of her teacher husband.
This time, the second season of Betrayal, Betrayal: A Father's Secret, is bringing viewers another grim case where a wife discovers that the man closest to her is not who she knows him to be.
The series shows how a mother must protect her family from the man she trusted the most and who shockingly broke her faith.

To watch the docuseries, viewers will need to have a subscription to the Hulu streaming platform, which comes at a subscription rate of $7.99 per month.

A press release shared by ABC News Studios announced that the upcoming installment of Betrayal, Betrayal: A Father's Secret will center on a mother of three in Utah, named Ashley Lytton, “as she unearths her husband Jason’s secret, leaving her fearing for her family’s safety and future.”
The release continues:
“Following this devastating discovery, Ashley takes swift action to safeguard her family from the man she thought she knew best, unraveling a tangled web of dark truths along the way.”
Hulu has also dropped a trailer for Betrayal: A Father's Secret, where we see snippets from the series. Ashley is seen recalling in the trailer that when she finds “a hidden folder” of Jason’s, she's shocked by what she discovered inside and struggles to come to terms with it. She says:
“I don’t think I can say it. I’m sorry...I just need a break. ... I realized that my life will never be the same.”
The trailer also features snippets of interviews with others who describe what took place as “shocking” and “gut-wrenching.”

What happened to Ashley Lytton's husband Jason Lytton?
Jason Lytton was booked in 2021 on 100 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. But he was eventually indicted on two misdemeanor counts of voyeurism, a third-degree felony of obstructing justice and 10 counts of second-degree felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Lytton was exposed when hundreds of compromising photographs of minor girls were discovered in his device. After securing a search warrant, the police came across over 1,000 of these pictures on Jason’s phone.
In 2022, Jason secured a plea deal where he pleaded guilty to two voyeurism charges and one of the second-degree felony charges of sexually exploiting a minor.
According to the deal, he said he would spend 329 days in Salt Lake County Jail and submit to two years of supervised probation. The deal also involved Jason not being allowed access to the internet and requiring him to fulfill a cognitive behavioral program and a mental health evaluation.
He was also required to attend a parenting class and comply with the conditions of Group A Sex Offenders.
