A week after the arrest of Luigi Mangione in connection with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, ABC is set to air its one-hour special, Manhunt: Luigi Mangione and the CEO Murder — A Special Edition of 20/20, which will cover the details of the case and also the public’s shocking response to it.
As of now, three shows documenting this event are lined up but ABC's special will be the first to air on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10 pm ET on ABC. It will provide a detailed account of the investigation of the murder and the social media reaction to it where Mangione, the shooter, is being hailed as a hero of sorts.
