President Joe Biden's debate, followed by Harris replacing Biden as the Democratic Party's candidate, and the assassination attempt on Trump were some of the big events that will be looked back on by The Year: 2024.

The ongoing war between Israel and Gaza, which is now in its second year, drawing in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon is also another major political event of the year that will be highlighted by the show.

In the arena of Hollywood, 2024 saw some intense heartbreaks as Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck and Natalie Portman broke up with Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millipied after 12 years together. But it's not all bad news as we also saw Taylor Swift find love in Travis Kelce and Hailey and Justin Bieber welcomed their baby.
